OOPS! I Did It Again!

So....I was in the garden center of Wal Mart and ran across these Iris's....on sale DIRT cheap....
I hate this area of my yard...it is just soooo boring....and I once had a great back walk made from broken sidewalk pavers...moss...and Iris's....
So? Do you see where this is going?
Oops! I did it again...I played in the dirt....I ripped out the sod....Oh baby baby...lol
Busy did a worm inspection...gross...
Then she inspected the planted Iris's...
Then I added some Lobelia between them. This is bed #17 in this garden. I blame it on Kathy...she got me thinking of them with her post about all the Iris's she got the other day...
This is my favorite..it is a bearded one
There are 6 different types in this bed. The ones in the line that appear to be gray-ish or lighter leaved....are variegated. They will bloom a beautiful shade of lavender.
I would have loved to bring it all along the sidewalk right to the front yard, but...the property line is on an angle like a pie....and I worry that we might not have good neighbors one day in the future and that this would be an issue...there is also the issue of the "biker gang" that lives in my house...they have already fallen, driven and walked in the dirt! (and yes...I did get mad-threatened to send them to live with their Aunty Ogre ...hi sissy!)
I would like to say how bad I feel for not being a good commenter....I have been super busy, and a little distracted by my garden lately....It is supposed to be cold in the next few days, so I am sure I will find some time to play in blog land!
Can you believe we have had a frost warning every night for the last week? It is JUNE for crying out loud!
