Ok now, this is so impressive. I look outside and you would cry. Everything is just about dead. We are finally down to 103 today. Yea!!! Maybe we will finally get down below 100 someday. I bought 2 5 gal. hibiscus and a dwarf oleander to replace some of the dead things. Now I know that's nothing earth shattering, but at least they can take the heat next summer. Anyway, when the weather cools down I can finally plant some pretty flowers in pots and have some color this fall and winter. You struggle with your cloche, and I struggle not to have just cactus. lol Hugs, Marty

I hope your big pot was okay after it blew away...the flowers are gorgeous. I love all of your flowers, you know that, it must take most of the day to care for them!! Winter must be a nice respite for you!! ;-)

I'd like to join FF this week. I'd like to get a few shots tomorrow morning first...

Have a good night Tootsie!!

Your flowers are just awesome as usual! Funny, my mandeville is just starting to really bloom alot too. That lavatara is really amazing. I will have to find that one for next year. It is always fun to see your very vibrant gardens.

Now I need to comment on your flowers. I am not familiar with Lavatera. This plant is more than magnificent. I am in awe! I must do some research to see if it will grow in my zone.

Your flowers are amazing. Do you use a lot of feed on them? I have never seen lavatera as good as those, not even at the numerous RHS shows I've been to. They just dont grow as well as that here in the uk, too much rain!

DANG! I did not mean to link up yet....habits I guess. Will post the photos later it's 5:30 a.m. and still dark. Your flowers are beautiful and show no signs of summer coming to a close. I am so checking into Lavatera! It's about time for me to buy pansies, petunias, mums and alyssum for some fall color!!

That must have been a monster wind. Hope it was okay after you retrieved it!

Beautiful. Now if you want to see some weeds in the flower bed come on to my house.

Hey toots this is so awesome.
I just don't know how you do it; this yard is amazing. If only you could be one of those traveling garden people. I'd let you live in the guest suite side of the house for free; for as long as you want to stay. I loved talking to you the other day and you are a hoot. Ladies Toots is so cute even on the phone and knowledge she has it; just ask her she can come up with a way to do just about anything. Some day I am going to "Canada to visit her". She is without a doubt one of the kindest gals I have ever blog with and talked to. Have a great week-end Toots and have fun with the hubby and kids. I will be thinking of you.

Oh Tootsie. I thought I'd be able to join today but I am in a rush to find that perfect dress for the wedding I am going to tomorrow and I don't think I will do my post justice.

Next week, hopefully!! A Pink Saturday combineD, since hubs has a golf outing Satuday which means I can play with my blog all day!!

Have a fun filled weekend, Tootsie!! :-)

Your flowers are what I dream about. Just beautiful.
I wish I could join you each Friday..but no flowers..or at least not enuf to blog about. I have two pots of geraniums and haven't a clue what to do with them this winter. I have a boston fern that will die when I bring it inside...I'm just not good at growing things....at all!!
Have a fabulous day..

The lavatera you have reminds me of what my grandfather used to grow, I have a perennial type that is more of a shrub. I can't believe how many flowers you have on yours.
Hope the wind didn't do too much damage! You hate to do all that work and then have the wind knock it all apart before it's done blooming. I love the Rudbeckia!

I am in love with the Lavatera. Your flowers are glorious as always! We are going to search for pansies and snapdragons this weekend. It's a little early to plant them, but I am ready for some change!

I love visiting your garden, so beautiful!
Long weekend for us in the US, maybe I'll get some time to spend in the yard.

Once again beautiful!!! Is Lavatera a perennial? It sure puts on an impressive show doesn't it?

Fess up..those lavatera aren't real, are they? ha ha They are gorgeous Tootsie, as well as everything else. You have had just an outstanding summer.

Your flowers are gorgeous! Every time I see them, I want to go plant shopping! I've wanted to plant some of the hydrangeas in a flower bed & that will free up some large pots. Guess I need to just go do it! ☺ Diane

You just crack me up. I think your greenhouse counts as the perfect cloche. It's the kind most of us would like to have. Did you see the one that someone posted last time? It was gorgeous. Great sense of humor. I always enjoy the laugh. Thanks for the visit. Hugs, Marty

Oh my, your flower beds and container plants are breathtaking! I'm not familiar with Lavatera..it looks like it is in Azalea or petunia family? Do you mind if I ask what state you live in? Your flowers seem to thrive so well, despite wind storms. You've got a keen eye for color..Why do you call the area where the lavatera is located the bike bed? Didn't see a bike in sight! "Curiosity killed the cat!" Thanks for sharing. Not only do I need to do some weeding today but also have hubby to spray the Miracle Grow. It's Sept. 5(I think!)and two of my container plants seem to be slowing down on blooming. The one spike looks like a corn stalk, so that's coming out of that pot today. Haven't checked the azalea bush around the side of the house, bet it is dead. If it lives, it's getting moved this Fall. the hydrangea bushes smother it then I forget about it.

I know that you've heard it again and again, but (sigh) I just love your yard! The Rudbeckia is something new to me; what a bloom! It looks almost like it has a leather center.

Wow! Your flowers look fantastic! (are there any left after the storm?)...Hope so! Have a great weekend!~Cindy

Hey Tootsie! Thanks for linking me in Thursday night. I had preset the post to come on knowing we would be gone; but wanted to share our front flower bed. It's looking good right now; but at our altitude, the trees are starting to turn. Have a great week; and don't forget to take care of yourself!!! Sally

Ah, complete gorgeousness! I hope the wind storm didn't wreck too much of your yard. That's be terrible!

Wow Tootsie, your yard is simply amazing. What a gift you have.. I'm always inspired each time I stop by. Sorry it's taken me awhile to get around, with everything else that has happened this week, "major" computer problems. Thank goodness they got the lap top fixed before the other one officially went down.. hope you're having a super w/k..
