Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers Jan29, 2010

Hey Guys!!! Its Friday!!! We ALL know what that means now don't we? Yep!!!
IT'S TIME TO FLAUNT OUR FLOWERS!!!!
Fertilizer Friday is the day when gardeners from all over the world join in and share the blooms of their labors!
If you are new to this party...WELCOME!!! If you are a regular...WELCOME BACK! Anyone can post plants of any kind...you are all welcome...the more the merrier!
Now...if you are not familiar with the winter rules here...you will be...since I have ZERO to share...my gardens are bare...I (and other gardeners in similar climates) are sharing our favorite photos from months, gardens, years gone by, or the current indoor gardens and houseplants that they have. Those who have real live beauty to share are doing just that!
I would like to add, that if you are not a fertilizer...you may still join in. The name Fertilizer Friday actually was coined to remind those of us who like to feed our greens, but forget! Fertilizing is not a must...but the flaunting...IS!
So? What are we waiting for? Feed your flowers/ houseplants...gardens...snap some photos, link in and Flaunt with me!
Before we get started with all the flaunting...I need to remind you guys about the GIVEAWAY I am having this week. Today is the very LAST DAY TO ENTER....so for the details...please click here, and you will get the nitty gritty about how to get your name in the draw. The winner of the wonderful little garden sign featured in my sidebar will be announced on Saturday morning!!!
I have been doing a little more browsing on the More Mailboxes, CSN Stores, and Outdoor Lighting and More sites....(our giveaway sponsor sites) and LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!!!!Guys...it brought tears to my eyes...just thinking about how wonderful this trellis would look on the front of my greenhouse around the door....it would be the finishing touch!!! I have tried to stand a trellis on the ground in front...but the wind made it rub...and the area is not quite big enough for a wide one to stand. I had all but given up...when I clicked on this...and I THINK IT'S PERFECT!!!
What do you think?...
Yep....I have to agree with you!!! I need to order it. (and I will as soon as I am certain that I am not moving!)
I am missing summer...and since not one of the 300+ Geraniums have sprouted yet...I thought I'd share a couple of favorite photos from seasons past...
My bike bed...Not sure why, but this one reminds me of Betty...
I think I will go for the Dusty Miller border again this year...I liked it. Makes the other colors pop!
Okay...that's all I have...so I want to see LOTS from you! Get busy...feed (or don't) and FLAUNT!!!

Please Publish the Fertilizer Friday Logo at the top of this post, and link into the mister linky list below. If you do not do this, you may not get as many "tourists" visiting your Friday post. AND.....Don't Forget!!!....there is also THREE bonus entries for every one who links in and joins me for Fertilizer Friday this week....so lets get busy ladies and gents....this is going to be fantastic! I will see you on Saturday the 30th to announce the draw winner!!!

NEXT WEEK.....
I have so many different flowers to plant...I just can't wait to get them all in...I will share the different names later this week...as well as an update on my friend's furniture and whole house make over that I am involved in...and...a very exciting project that I have been playing with. But that's all next week...for today we have flower gardens to tour!!!
Wishing you a safe and happy weekend...
Toots!

Ok..last year I found your blog as summer was wasting away. This year I am ready. I bought some seeds the other day and want to get started. Can you or do you have a post where you explain when, how to start seeds? Right now I am more concerned about starting veggies but I know it's a bit too early.. I guess flowers on the other hand should be okay.

That arch would look especially good with my sign and outdoor lighting!

I actually included some current pics of my garden this week. It rained and the snow melted, so I ran outside with the camera and took some pics.

As always, Thanks for hosting.

I got distracted by CSN before commenting. I love the Brass Baron Gardening Fairy Fountain, it would look so cute by my pond.
I can't imagine having 300 geraniums! Will you be planing them all? Your pictures of them are so pretty and summery.
Yes, that arbor would look perfect on your greenhouse!

OOOoooooo I love that trellis. I want one too. I haven't entered your drawing yet, hate to seem stupid but wasn't sure where we were suppose to tell you at. Let me go read it again (for the 14th time - crap nothing sinks in lately).

Your garden looks beautiful and the Dusty Miller really is the crowning glory. The colours just pop!

I really like the Arboria Heritage Grand Entry Arbor. It would look great at the top of my bloomin' stairs and think of the Clematis' I could put on it. One over each stairway. YES!!!
