I'm Just sayin! lol

I did have a different post planned for today, but unfortunately I did not have time to put it all together! I instead attended a REBA concert last evening and had a wonderful time! She is one heck of a performer...Thank you to a young man named Jeff...for the free ticket and to my friend Jennifer for taking me with! It was fun!
now...instead of my regularly scheduled post...I am sharing this little story! One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well..The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway. It just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.
A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up.Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well, and happily trotted off!
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.
Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.Free your mind from worries - Most never happen.
Live simply and appreciate what you have.Give more. Expect less

NOW .......Enough of that crap. The donkey later came back and bit the farmer who had tried to bury him. The gash from the bite got infected; and, the farmer eventually died in agony from septic shock.

MORAL FROM TODAY'S LESSON:
When you try to cover your ass, it always comes back to bite you! Ain't that the truth? hahaha! hey...I'm Just sayin!

I hopefully will have my act together for tomorrow or the next day! Friday for sure! lol

I'm laughing because our preacher told that story a couple of weeks ago. Only his version had something to do with seeing the possibilities in getting out of the situation and the moral was different. Of course, I don't remember what he said!!

Yay donkey. Boo farmer.

How true this moral is, I lol, every time I read this story. When you are down the dirt folks shovel on you can be used to bury you or to bring you up, it is your choice....
Thanks for sharing and bringing a smile to my day.

Oh Tootsie, I so did not see that last part coming, lol! You crazy girl. Life's been shoveling a lot of that dirt at me lately but it's getting harder and harder to stomp the dirt down and step up. These old legs are tired, lol! It's okay though I'll probably survive. Have a great day. Reba would be a blast to see and I'm glad you got to go!

Darn that's one smart donkey. Sometimes getting up is hard to do but it is all worth it. Thanks for the reminder that we are to get up and/or take a step up.
