Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers July9/10

Copy_of_001

It’s Friday again already and that means it’s time to flaunt our flowers, gardens and all things green!

Now if you are not familiar with the rules of this little party…here they are;

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

Your post must include the logo above and a link to Tootise Time, or the linky will be deleted. I don’t mean to be harsh, but there have been a lot of people linking in and when the participants graciously click over to their blogs, there is no sign of Fertilizer Friday anywhere to be found. This is not fair to those who do follow the rules, therefore…well you know!

So? what are you waiting for? Get outside, feed, water, snap and post!

We have had a cool week here in Alberta…but the weekend seems to be heating up! I have been swamped with life in general this week so the coolness was welcome. Hardly time to even sit and think, much less garden!Things are getting along…still seems to be a bit behind, but hey…not much I can do about that is there?

084

This bed didn’t seem to need much encouragement…it is filling in big time!

077

My garden room…

075

This area is getting a big addition!!!

074

any guesses as to what it is?

070

Pots are bursting out!! I love BIG blooming pots!

066

header bed…looked like it was glowing…but I can’t take a photo to save my life today!

063

Here’s the latest addition to my garden…I had a couple of wire vanity chairs that were just sitting there…so I removed the seats, gave them a coat of paint…and lo and behold!!!! they matched my little iron table that was not finding a home…I used the paver stones I took out for the new little hedge in the garden room…made a design all Tootsie style…and ta-da!!! a little tea room. I might still put seats on the chairs…haven’t decided yet…I also need to decide what to grout the stones with…might just pack them in with a little soil…or dig them down a bit to make the mowing easier…for now…they are in place…and that’s all that matters!

062

Finally….a view of the entire area there…Kinda likin the stones…maybe not the chairs so much…opinions??? I’d love to hear!

…And that’s all she wrote! Now it’s your turn…click, post and link! Can’t Wait to see!

Happy weekend to you all!!! Thanks for the visit...hugs and smiles!

oh...and I don't want to forget the three I wink at each post!!! *) *) *) (you know who you are!)

When i did a semi temporary patio, and wasn't sure how to grout, I just put down sand and swept it down into the cracks. It looked like grout, but came up quickly when I needed to change it.

Of course, your stones that are "grouted" with grass look cool too, so maybe sand wouldn't fit your decor.

I always love visiting your blog, you have the yard I always wanted.

Hi!

Oh I love the tea room area! You are going to have to set up a pretty tea and join in on the tea parties of Tuesday! It is just the perfect spot for a pretty cup of tea or iced tea! Of course, your entire yard is just wonderful! I have been reading up on moonlight gardens. Is that something you have ever considered?

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for hosting!

Tootsie,I really like the Welcome sign amongst the purple. Love the bed with the wagon wheel, and how you make your garden rooms with the stones with grass in between. It looks classy! I always enjoy my visits to your place, Tootsie.

I love your new area, it looks cute with the planted chairs. Your containers really do look full, mine never end up looking that way no matter what I do. I love the blue of the petunias in the first picture!
The linky is down, I'll try back later to add my post.

Beautiful. I love the welcome sign. And I love the chairs. But, I agree that they don't match the stones. Both are quite beautiful though. I love all of the inspiration I find here. Oh and no guesses, will have to wait and see.

Tootsie your garden looks so beautiful. Love the new addition. Such a great idea.
Wonder what you are up to in the garden room?
I was wondering if I could get you to save some Monkshood seeds for me? I would love to try them if you are still growing some this year.
I cracked up at the tale of you and Grammie junkin' LOL!
Have a wonderful weekend.

Yes Tootsie! That glass ball in my garden changes colors just like yours does. It's one of my favorites.

I wish I knew your secret for lush blooms! The patio in our back yard is totally shaded all day long so I plan impatiens in the whiskey barrels and other containers. But they never thrive, and have very modest blooms - not the lush intense statement I'd like them to make. Can you offer me any advise, or share some of your secrets for success?
