Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers July 30/10

Copy_of_001

Hello Bloggers/ Gardeners/ Friends!!!! It’s Friday again already and that means it’s time to flaunt our flowers, gardens and all things green!

Now if you are not familiar with the rules of this little party…here they are;

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

Your post must include the logo above and a link to Tootise Time, or the linky will be deleted. I don’t mean to be harsh, but there have been a lot of people linking in and when the participants graciously click over to their blogs, there is no sign of Fertilizer Friday anywhere to be found. This is not fair to those who do follow the rules, therefore…well you know!

So? what are you waiting for? Get outside, feed, water, snap and post!

This week is a little different. I have offered to share gardens of some non- blogging followers. This is the first of hopefully a few of the faithful followers that love to peek at our gardens giving us the opportunity to peek back at theirs!

So…this week, you will not see Tootsie’s gardens (thank goodness-cuz they are LOADED with weeds)…instead I am treating you to the gardens of a wonderful lady named Kathe from Denver Colorado! She has some very neat ideas…and I LOVE the little signs and garden art she shares.

Bulbgarden2

Here’s some of her own words…

Hello!

I make it a point to check out your blog every few days and especially for Fertilizer Friday :) My name is Kathe and I live in the Denver, CO area. My husband is from Saskatchewan (gotta love them Canadian farm boys!). I have 2 sons that are grown and have spread their wings and flown east to MI & CT.

Gardening is my passion. My husband tells people he can see me visibly wilt during the winter months. I live for the first nice days of late winter, early spring so that I can get outside and get my hands dirty. I am an avid composter and have a rain collecting system. I do not have a blog but wanted to share some of my garden with you. Please feel free to post any that you feel are worthy of your wonderful blog space. We have had our share of obstacles this year. Hail storms, smothering cotton from cottonwoods, sporadic rain etc., but in spite of all of that I am pretty pleased with my little patches of heaven. My flowers and veggies are what get me through the long days at work.

Anywho, my gardens are nothing like yours but I hope you understand that they are a constant work in progress. Work that I fully embrace and love with all of my heart.

A fan,

Kathe

Is she not the sweetest? I know I can relate to the wilting in the winter months…don’t we all?

You guys have got to see the absolutely fantastic potting bench that Kathe’s husband made for her! I could not get the photos to upload into this post or they would be here…so if you are interested in seeing one of the best one's I have seen…please click here to go to her photo albums and view them and many of her other garden photos…

Thank you Kathe for not only sharing your beautiful gardens with us, but for being a follower!

Again…anyone who is not a blogger, and would like to share their gardens with us here in blog-land…feel free to email me and include some photos that you would like to share. I would love to include you in the Fertilizer Friday posting!

Hopefully next week I will have a new project to share with you all…I have been working on a plan, but it seems to be giving me a run for my money…and time has been an issue for me as usual. I hope you all have a happy and safe long weekend…see you back here next time!

Until then…enjoy the list of participants…hugs and smiles to you all…and of course three big winks to those special three…*)*)*)

I know I haven't checked in for a while but I just had to stop in to say Hi and to share some pics I took of a recent garden tour. It's always so inspiring to see what others are doing with their gardens.
Your blog is always fun to read - even if I don't comment. Bad Me!!

How fun to peak into someone else's garden! It is lovely too! I am linking up late again. I've spent the last few days helping a friend move, so my time has been limited. Decided it was better to ignore my blog than my garden. :D
