Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers Feb.11/11

Copy_of_001

Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!! Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

Before we begin I feel that I need to re-state the pre-requisites for this little party. There isn’t that much, but it seems there has been some confusion amongst a few participants.

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?” Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootise Time, or the linky will be deleted. I don’t mean to be harsh, but there have been a lot of people linking in and when the participants graciously click over to their blogs, there is no sign of Fertilizer Friday anywhere to be found. This is not fair to those who do follow the rules, therefore…well you know!

So? what are you waiting for? Get outside, feed, water, snap and post!

You all have read that I am doing a bit of a giveaway for my followers this week, so I hope you will all take a minute to read the details of that in the post right below this one!

So… I have decided that I am SICK and tired of winter. I miss my gardens…I have nothing to really flaunt.

The Geraniums are up…almost all of them…but a girl can only sport and flaunt the sprouts so much…so I am sharing a photo of what I hope will be coming to my gardens soon…VERY soon…ha-ha

072

I miss spring and summer. I miss my gardens!!!

063

I am missing green grass and leaves. I miss the sound of the water flowing in the fountain.

055

I miss spraying the sidewalks and admiring the pots I plant.

054

I miss my view from inside the greenhouse when I sit…

050

…On my little bench and just relax.

044

I miss the view of the garden room I worked so hard to make…the BBQ I painted and planted…and the hedge I put in last summer…

019

I miss the view of the greenhouse with pots all in bloom…

014

…the intricate blooms of the passion flower that I planted last year. (I sure hope it survives the winter indoors)

009 (3)

I also miss making new projects to share with my garden friends…I love to plant, create and share with all of you too!

Please join me in Flaunting this week…and make sure you stop over to see who else is flaunting. There is always something to inspire another garden dream in those garden posts!

Thank you to all who link up today..and I do hope you will all make sure to comment…and also to make sure I am following your blog as well. If I am not…by all means let me know! I need to follow in return!

DON’T FORGET TO SCROLL DOWN AND CHECK OUT THE GIVEAWAY!

Until next time!!! Hugs, smiles and wishes for a safe and happy weekend!

Now GO! Link in and FLAUNT WITH ME!

*)*)*)…to you three…(you know who you are!)

I hear you Glenda - sick of winter from this province too.
Can't believe I flaunted first - sounds kind of shady. :-)
Well, here's how I'm breaking up this long, long winter. I'm having 5 fellow Master Gardeners for a Valentine tea on the 11th and we're gonna talk about going to Canada Blooms and the plans for our gardens. How's that sound?
Thanks for hosting a fun theme for garden depraved women.

Hi again Glenda
Yes, I'm attending the Proven Winners event and registered long ago - as a garden writer I've been growing shrubs on trial for them for 3 years now.
Thanks for the offer of your coupon code though.

I am with you Tootsie. I am tired of the white stuff and the cold. Lets bring on spring. Congratulations on reaching 500. That is an impressive number. I do not see my name on your list but I would like to be in the pot for the give away. V

Glenda, I'm posting fake roses, hope that's ok. I love the passion flower and all of your gardens. I'm so glad all of your geraniums are up already. You are always so organized. I haven't even placed a seed order yet!

As always O love your pictures and your beutiful yard. Also you left a note on a post I linked in with you last October - I hadn't seen it till today. I did have a link for Fertilizer Friday both in the post and a perma link in my side bar. Sorry! I would never link up without adding your button. Thanks for hosting this - look forward to it every week! Paula in Idaho

It's so great to see so many people linking in today! I'll have to check them all out.

I included a link back to your blog in my post, but for some reason I couldn't get the image to upload. I just got a new iMac, and it has an updated version of iPhoto, and I'm not familiar with all the ins and outs yet. I hope my post is OK.

I am anxious for spring to arrive as well! Nothing but snow as far as the eye can see here in Western NY, but I swear! I can smell spring in the air! Makes me want to go buy seeds to start! LOL
Enjoyed my visit to your blog.

I almost couldn't post for Fertilizer Friday, but I made it, although I might just be the last to post. Being first rocks, what about being last?
