Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers June 1/12

Copy_of_001

HAPPY FRIDAY AGAIN!!!! I am SO glad to see you!
Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!! Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!
If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:
If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing! You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly! All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted.
So....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

My week was a busy one!  I did a lot in the yard this week…made a road trip or two…and even managed to clean house and do laundry!

I don’t think you need to see all the housework and laundry…so I will show you what I did outside:

DSCN3490

I almost finished building this little bed beside the back steps.  I hauled in some rocks from the farm to make the border…and brought several wheel barrow loads of soil.  I then added some potting soil to the mix, just to keep it a little softer and to help retain the moisture.  This is a hot sun area so that will be a good thing!  So far, I have only planted some Dahlias in there.  I need to get busy and finish this up!

DSCN3491

I also built myself a bed on the opposite side of the steps.  I planted some Malva seed at the back to grow up and hide all the ugly that is there on the house.  The cords and meter and all rest will be hidden by the malva and the tall snap dragons that will be nice and tall very soon!  (I hope)

I had to put in a little path to get to and from the water taps…and plug ins…so I lined it with spare rocks.  I added my pump fountain and some of my olden junk, and then planted it all up with flowers.  I can hardly wait to see it all in bloom!

DSCN3498

This photo didn’t turn out very well, and I am way too lazy to go out and take another one…so it will do for now.  You all remember this bed…the one I made outside the greenhouse…I finally got it planted!  I think it will look wonderful when it is all blooming and pretty!  It has been beaten by the wind the last few days, so it looks a little raggedy right now.  I am confident that it will bounce back and get gorgeous!

Lets move to the front yard….

DSCN3512

Ta-da!  This is the current view!

DSCN3507

I planted the bed under the living room window…and added my old bike to the  corner with the bleeding heart in it.  I planted a lot of pansy’s and dahlias in this bed…and a few geraniums.  There are also some Lily’s and some Iris’s.

DSCN3509

I planted three hydrangea in this bed!!!  I am so excited to see them in bloom!!!   There are lots of annuals in there to compliment the gorgeous hydrangea blooms I am sure to have…right???

I also added some soil and grass seed.  Grampie was so sweet to come over with some that he got for me and help me put it in!  Now…I need it to sprout!

DSCN3510

I brought my olden bench out from the back yard and put it on the corner of the house…added a few pots, and am waiting for this to look better!!!

DSCN3511

I planted on the ant hill…this entire bed is infested with the stupid things…I need an ant eater to come and clean this yard up!  The ants are EVERYWHERE!!!   I can’t wait to see this bed all in bloom.  It is mostly Petunias…I never plant only one type of flower…so this is exciting for me!

DSCN3516

I hung my window on the side of the house and added a few little things to the front step areas…  It is starting to look more like home all the time around this place!

DSCN3496

I took Grammie her flowers, and delivered lots to a friend…this is all that I have left!  I plan to use them up in a bed or two that still needs to be built…but that is a project for next week…This Tootsie is pooped!

DSCN3506

I have an Iris that is ready to bloom!!!  Look at how pretty this flower is going to be!!!   eek!!  I am so excited!

DSCN3504

I am also excited to share a pot that I picked up at a local nursery…BLACK petunias are the main attraction in this planter!!!

Well…that’s all for me today!!!  I could have shown more and more…but then we wouldn’t have anything to talk about next week now would we…?   Ha Ha..

What do you have growing and blooming in your gardens this week??? I am looking forward to seeing it all!!!

I wish all of my followers hugs and smiles, and safe and happy weekend plans! Thanks for dropping in and to those that faithfully link in to this party…and who are patient while waiting for me to finally visit you…THANK YOU!

Until Next Time….Happy Gardening!

*)*)*) to my special three!!!     Always remember:   Behind every beautiful WOMAN is man that screwed her over and accidentally MADE her stronger...should I say thank you?   ( ha ha)  and finally….A friendly word of advice: Always appreciate what you have today cause it could be gone tomorrow.    You know who you are!!!  hugs!

It's looking wonderful. You have worked so hard this week. It must be so much fun to have a blank landscape to work with.

OMG Tootsie's garden is blooming now! The place is already very Tootsie-ish! I still remember the chair with those small roofs. And lo and behold, i haven't seen a black petunia even in blogs, that is extremely lovely. HOw i wish there are more bluish, dark violets and black flowers in the tropics! As you will see in ours, we mostly have orange and reds, and i am already bored with these colors!

It's wonderful to see the new Tootsie garden taking shape. I love the special touches around your front door and those terrific rocks used as garden edging. It's all starting to come together. Congrats on a great job done so far.

The transformation is beginning to happen. I don't know where you get all the time and energy to do it all. Your gardens will look amazing.

Black petunias! Wow!! I had some almost black hollyhocks this year which were a great surprise. That iris looks like it is going to be a stunner. I so enjoyed your review of your garden this week. Thanks for sharing.

Send some of your ambiton this way girlie!! I wish I had half your energy...heck even a quarter.

Your gardens are beginning to look a lot like Home :) Simply gorgeous.

I almost have my bike (actually a save from the neighbors dumpster) ready for the garden...I decided to paint it white. It's only taken me a month to paint it, now to add my Dads bike baskets to it. Probably another month. Maybe by Winter it will be out there. LOL

Changing meds so hoping these will get me out of this darkness. I don't know how you do it. But am so glad you do, you inspire me.
Love ya, have a great weekend!

You sure have a lot of energy to accomplish all you have since the move. Everything is looking great, and a little family help is always welcome.
Wow, black petunias, they look amazing and would be fun to colour coordinate with.
Have a well deserved rest Glenda.
