I am here to say that Grammie and Grampie came home yesterday!
Now…here is your update:
Where to begin….where do I start???
Okay, here we go…
On Friday morning very early they prepped Grampie for his Surgical procedure. This was most likely not an easy thing for the nurses to do…he does not like hospital garments…and give the nurses a hard time about it…also likes to tease EVERYONE that comes near him.
He went in to have is procedure completed. The nurse briefed them before he was put under about the whole thing. She said he would be having his entire throat scraped and that they would be cleaning the whole thing right out. She said they would be taking some biopsy tissues and that he would have a very sore throat for about a month and that he would have to stay off of solid foods for 3 or 4 weeks.
OH DEAR!!! HOW WILL GRAMPIE SURVIVE???
HOW WILL GRAMMIE SURVIVE GRAMPIE WITH NO CHEEZIES OR
THIS DOES NOT BODE WELL FOR ANYONE WITHIN A REASONABLE DISTANCE FROM HIM!!!
Well…it turns out that the nurse was mistaken. They did put him under…and he did have a few little pieces removed from his esophagus….BUT they quit part way through. They took their biopsy tissues and that was it!
He is not impressed…They went there thinking this was going to be finished up this week…and now they have to go back to have the procedure completed??? They did not get an explanation as to why they didn’t do what they were supposed to do…all they got was a smile and wave as they left.
Grammie and Grampie were not supposed to arrive home until Monday sometime…but showed up TWO days early! Saturday afternoon, the two brats arrived at the store and got the tour of all the changes I had made to the sales floor and the stock room. (lucky for me, I am still alive…I had changed a LOT …hee hee) Grammie is going to need help finding her own stock for a few days! She was happy to see how much I brought out to the sales floor…there are a LOT of shoes in that building right now!
I am glad to see them home…but worried about why they stopped…and what the biopsy’s will say. I also know that the “bads” (the two rotten little kittens that they saved from a dumpster in the alley last winter) are SUPER happy to see him home! They get to share his cheezies!….which by the way, he is still allowed to eat right now since they didn’t do a whole lot on his esophagus.
Until it is time for him to go back again, we will wait for the results of the biopsy’s and keep our fingers crossed for good news there.
On behalf of myself and my parents…(Grammie and Grampie)…thank you for the huge out pouring of concern and prayers for us all. You guys are always such a huge support and We are grateful to you all AGAIN for helping us get through something difficult. Keep Grampie in your prayers…as this is far from over for him…but he’s here with us still…still has the mischief look in his eyes… is still eating his Cheezies..and that’s all that matters right now.
NOW….who’s ready to see another kids’s bedroom make over???? I am almost ready to post it…stay tuned…just have to watermark a few photos…and write a few details!
Until Next Time….THANK YOU FRIENDS!
