Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers May 3/13

Copy_of_001

WELCOME!

Do you know what day it is???

It’s Friday !!!!
Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol)  It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!

Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like.

The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted.

So?????....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

We had another little dose of winter this week…three days of snow…but it is all gone again (and there was lots) and the temps are back to nice and warm!   My Greenhouse is happy to see the sun shining high again, and things are getting bushy and full again!
Take a look:

011
My Container gardens are doing great!!!   It is smelling super good in there with all that Alyssum blooming!

019
I love this ruffled looking Petunia!

014
Bright Ping Geranium…HOT!

015
Bright Orange Geranium…WOW!

021
Beautiful Orange Marigold!   CHEERFUL!!!

024
Delicate Alyssum.   SWEET!

027
The hanging baskets are doing well since I trimmed them back last week!

028
I did a couple of baskets with a mix of Annuals and Tropicals…Love the look so far!

038
I love looking at everything growing in their trays…just soooo pretty!

042
I could spend hours in the greenhouse just taking photos of every plant from a different angle each time!

053
I don’t mind the view from the back alley either!!   Aside from the reflection of the sun etc.  it looks pretty good from outside too!   Look how fun this planter is already!   It screams spring!

057
My Banana is growing like crazy.  Did you know that the larger the pot they are planted in, the bigger the plant will grow?   I once had one that was 9 feet tall and had leaves that were over 16 inches across and 30 inches long!   Unfortunately it didn’t like winter inside the old house!

No matter what the plant is, big or small, foliage or blooming, spreading or climbing…as long as it is green and growing….I LOVE IT!

074
This brings us to the end of my flaunt for this week…and YOU know what that means!!!

That means…I can’t wait to see what you have!

Well…what are you waiting for???

GO!!!

Get your flaunt on!!!

I wish all of you hugs and smiles, and safe and happy weekend plans!

Thank you all so much for dropping in today, and to those that faithfully link in to this party…and who are patient while waiting for me to FINALLY visit you…it seems there are not enough hours in a day anymore...THANK YOU!

Until Next Time... Happy Gardening!

*)*)*) Be careful who you ignore today, for it may be who you need tomorrow...

You've got so much lovely colour everywhere in your greenhouse. I really do like the mix of Petunia and Spider Plant. That looks great.

That is what i call spectacularly-spectacular! Tootsie greenhouse is now very much alive, the one i remember from the old house years ago! The colors are so vivid, and i love the watering pale the most! haha. Happy Weekend.

Hi Glenda,

I bet everything smells heavenly, especially the alyssum. I bought almost a truck load of annuals last night. It will be a busy weekend. Thank you for hosting.

You have the happiest annuals around! I adore the purple alyssum. I don't have good luck with alyssum here; it gets hot and the alyssum cannot take it. However, PW has a cultivar - Lobularia snow princess - that is heat resistant and grows all season long; I'll be looking for that for my garden. Hope your dad is doing well. I prayed for him and will continue to do so.
hugs, Beth

I love stopping by and seeing the progress in your greenhouse, my daffodils are finally blooming here. Last week I visited the most beautiful gardens while we were on the west coast. I shared the pictures today! Thanks for hosting and have a great weekend!

Won't your garden look amazing when you plant out all the seedlings that you have in your greenhouse! Your garden is always so colorful Glenda!

It finally dawned on me how you get everything to grow so fast and lush and it is that you have them flowering and growing in the greenhouse...mine have to start from seedlings and then grow in sporing into summer and they hardly ever catch up...
