Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers May 17 /13

Copy_of_001
WELCOME!

Do you know what day it is???

IT IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE VERY FIRST LONG WEEKEND OF THE SUMMER!

It’s Friday !!!!

Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol)  It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!

Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”

Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like.

The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted.

So?????....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...
I have things to share this week!!!

I have been working my fingers to the bone trying to get things ready to plant…

016
…and filling pots, delivering what needed to go…
(what an ugly looking mess I have here!)

019
….and trying to prep some new additions to the gardens.

I will share what this is next week once I get a chance to partially finish what is going to happen here!

I am EXHAUSTED…and feeling like there is not enough time in a day.

Once again I have not had the time or the energy to visit you all who visit…and I am so sorry.  Please be patient, I will be around…I just need more time!   Being a single parent of three very busy kids, and having a myriad of responsibilities is catching up to me this month!

Once the flowers are all planted I will have time…I hope…to visit and chat and flaunt with you all!

008
The greenhouse is looking a little empty these days.

009

010

011
I need to decide if these guys are going to grace the gardens…or stay in the greenhouse.  They are a few years old already…so decisions need to be made here…they are HUGE!

013
This Jade is my baby and she doesn’t leave the greenhouse no matter what!   I am so proud of her!

014
I do need to get in here and put my shade barrier up next week…hopefully my legs will let me stand up long enough.  I have fibromyalgia in my legs…and this week has been a struggle trying to keep the pain managed so that I can do some work!   Getting old sucks!

015
We have a fence!!!  Grampie and my Cowboy worked their little asses right off for the last few days!   It is almost done and I love it!

That means all my flowers can sit in waiting out in the yard and have at least a little protection!

I need to fix that dog damaged lawn, and get my planting going!!!

This brings us to the end of my flaunt for this week…and YOU know what that means!!!

That means…I can’t wait to see what you have!
Well…what are you waiting for???

GO!!!

Get your flaunt on!!!

I wish all of you hugs and smiles, and safe and happy weekend plans!

Thank you all so much for dropping in today, and to those that faithfully link in to this party…and who are patient while waiting for me to FINALLY visit you…it seems there are not enough hours in a day anymore...THANK YOU!

Until Next Time... Happy Gardening!

It's terrific to see your fence up so soon. Great job Grampie and Cowboy! I'm looking forward to seeing all that colour planted out in your garden soon.

Fence looks great and such fun to see the progression of plants moving out of your greenhouse, it is looking quite empty these days! I am happy because i finally have flowers blooming in my garden! Hope your week is pain free!

Yeah a fence! Good to see all the plants getting outside and beautifying the yard.

So happy for you that the fence is up(-: No more neighbor doggie(-:
Someday I plan to get a fence too. I would like to keep the rabbits out. The jade plant is amazing! I also had a few geraniums I over wintered for a few years. Last Fall I left them out. I was tired of hauling them back and forth to the garage all winter. So all but one expired. So this year I planted Supertunias. I am happy with them but I do miss all my geraniums. (-:

Love your fence. It'll be great not to have to worry about stray animals in your yard. Your flowers look beautiful, Glenda. You have a very green thumb.

Hi Glenda,

Wow, everything is looking beautiful. I can't wait to see your flowers after they are planted. Try to take a deep breath and enjoy it.

Very cool photos, you're an inspiration! I echo your sentiments on being exhausted. Yes, normally Spring is heavy on tasks and light on time, but I feel like that late/long winter really made this Spring feel extra short.

You have been so busy by the looks of the empty greenhouse. I adore jade and yours is beautiful. My uncle used to have 3 huge jade plants with tons of babies growing in his front garden in California...I just loved seeing them outside growing.

Hi Glenda, so sorry that you have problems with your legs! My knees are not great and it's the pitts! Love your greenhouse and that Jade is the biggest I have ever seen. You will have everything whipped in to shape in no time. Thanks for hosting.
hugs,
Jann

I love animals as much as the next person, but please keep it home!!! My Hubby gets angry when there are piles in our yard and he runs over them then brings the tractor in the garage. If he spots it he tries to throw it, with a scooper he created, into the yard across the street - home of the little poopers lol It's not their fault - the owners should be more responsible.
