Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers May 24/13

Copy_of_001
WELCOME!

Do you know what day it is???
It’s Friday !!!!
Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol)  It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!

Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like.

The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted.

So?????....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

I am so pooped…yes…POOPED!   I have been working like a maniac in the nightmare yard from hell!!!   Yes…I am referring to my yard.   Things have changed dramatically in the back yard this week…and I can’t hardly wait to share what I am doing!

I suppose you think I am going to share the back yard with you for today’s flaunt don’t ya???

   HA!

  Nope!

Today I am sharing the front yard gardens.  To see the mess and the progress in the back yard, you will have to wait!

042

This was the scene in the front of my house.   It needs a little Tootsie to brighten things up!

062

I planted that at 7:30 in the morning!   hahaha!   Hey…you don’t get a zillion things done in a day sleeping in until noon now do ya?   NO.   It’s planting season…This Toots Probably wouldn’t even sleep if it didn’t get dark outside!

Not to worry…I have plenty of help in the garden this week…

115

This guy and a few of his closest friends have been hanging around like crazy!   The funny part is…I could almost touch them…they are not afraid of me…one actually stole a worm from right beside my hand yesterday!

061

NEXT!

130

I can’t wait till they fill in and I can’t see spaces between them anymore…hey…if I wanted to see dirt…I’d just look under my fingernails at this point!

060

Moving right along…we have a bed full of weeds!   haha!  I cured that…and made sure all the Hydrangea’s were in good working order…Yay!..They are great!   Can’t wait to see them this year!

131

Well that was fast!!!

It took me a little more than two hours to plant the front yard!   Not bad I suppose…considering I am feeling a little less than young these days!  haha!

I need to fix the dog damage in the front yard still…I wish the neighbors would keep their pets in their OWN yard!

I think it is a good time to take a little break…sit on the front steps and just relax for a minute or two!

133

There’s room for two if you’d like to join me.   I love sitting on the front step…I just know you will not be disappointed if you do!

137

The Alyssum in the window box hanging on the railing smells SOOOOOOOO good!

This brings us to the end of my flaunt for this week…and YOU know what that means!!!

That means…I can’t wait to see what you have!

Well…what are you waiting for???

GO!!!

Get your flaunt on!!!

I wish all of you hugs and smiles, and safe and happy weekend plans!

Thank you all so much for dropping in today, and to those that faithfully link in to this party…and who are patient while waiting for me to FINALLY visit you…it seems there are not enough hours in a day anymore...THANK YOU!

Until Next Time... Happy Gardening!

Hi Glenda
You've really brought your front yard to a state of prettiness. The alyssum in the window box looks fantastic and the perfect place for visitors as they come to your front door to smell their fragrance.

I'm loving how the front yard is shaping up. I just know there will be lots of great colour very soon.

I've always described many of your works as 'Tootsie-ish', and because yours are the hands that don't stop, they are the hands always 'tootsieing'. I always have the thing in mind that totally have the Tootsie-look, and i think i can describe others' shots already with the adjectives above. So happy tootsieing, Tootsie!

Your yard looks great! I love the bicycle in the garden. My tenants left one behind my shed. I used it for my Halloween decorations in the yard last year, but I should put it out the year round.

Tootsie you have been a busy gardener! It all looks great and I love the use of the bicycle in the one garden area. You may have given me an idea for the tulip garden (which will be planted this fall when the bulbs from our visit to Kuekenhof arrive in Sept/Oct). Can't wait to see your gardens in full bloom and what you will do in the back. Happy gardening and thank you for hosting and sharing... Blessings, C. (HHL)
