Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers June 27/14

Copy_of_001
WELCOME!

I am so glad you stopped by today.   I love Friday’s…it is the start of the weekend…and…Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me really…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!

Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like.

The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted

I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...
Since last we met, we have had almost 4 inches of rain fall on us.   One or two sunny days were all we got to see…the rest…gray, drab and wet.   I have to admit, that I was a little relieved that the weather was crummy, because I do have a lot of work to do with my little company, and I am moving very slowly lately.   I need surgery on both of my arms to fix them so that they work without pain, and I have had some other health issues plaguing me lately, ( that have totally drained the extra energy out of this Tootsie)  …so with the weather being glum, I didn’t feel like I had to be doing things outside as well as inside.
I did take a little time out during those sunny days and make some slight improvements to my garden…but for the most part, it all looks pretty much the same.   So…I walked around to see if anything looked good enough to share…as most of it looks pretty waterlogged.   Did I mention that we got just over an inch and a half of rain yesterday?   A full inch of that fell in less than an hour!  Things look soggy.   Lol.

I took my favorite snuggle bug with me.  This is Marty.   He was SO sad and pathetic in the house, that I caved, and let him come outside and help me for a little bit.   He is 26 or more pounds…so I am not afraid he will go too far…He mostly just stays right close by (just in case he can sneak a hug and a smooch or two)

Remember this pic from last week?   Take a GOOD look…and see if you can tell me what needed to be altered a bit.  Can you see it???   I know I certainly can…I have been ‘seeing’ it for a while now.BeFunky_010.jpg
Yep…that table needed to be painted to blend in with the chairs a bit better!   I had been wanting to find some white iron chairs…but haven’t seen any…So I decided that until I get rid of the set of chairs that I already have, I may as well make a little adjustment to the table.   It needed to be painted anyways…I don’t want it to get rusted out too bad.   I also took out some of the pots…and placed them elsewhere.

I finished up a little weeding…I especially do not love this flower bed.   I need to fix the shape of it…but not this year…The pain in my arms and hands is too much as it is.  Maybe next year!
BeFunky_026.jpg
I planted a couple of roses this year…and one of them is almost ready to bloom!!!
BeFunky_023.jpg
The last photo I am sharing with you today is another hint as to the big change Cowboy helped me make this spring…have you figured it out yet????   Look closely!
With that little challenge I am finished my flaunt for this week.   I hope you enjoyed the little tour…and will be flaunting with me this week!
It’s your turn!!!   Go!   GET YOUR FLAUNT ON!
Until Next Time…Happy Gardening!

I had carpel tunnel surgery last year both hands-so glad I did! It was soooo worth it.
This year it was my eyes-cataracts. Glad I did that too. IT's just hard getting so many miles on me. Blooms look so pretty. Hope you feel better soon.

I just think your gardens and flowers are gorgeous.
The colors are so beautiful. I know the rain has been hard to take but thank goodness for the moisture. You will be glad later on. Thank you for always having a good blog!

Sometimes I have to see something to realize what I need to do. I put a faux zinc finish on a patio table top and did not do anything to the legs. I see now that it needs a dark base, Thanks.
