Now that's a keen gardener! I like that you have a glass house and can beat the cold with those plants you have in this post that I know would not survive the cold weather outside here, and it gets colder where you are.Some of the names you use are different to the ones I know those plants as. The Christmas cactus I know as a zygocactus.I have one of those succulent thingies that you are waiting to flower too.And I wouldn't even bother trying a mandevilla in this area because it wouldn't last the winter.The swedish Ivy I know as a plectranthus.

Thanks for posting new photos of the Jade plant - lovely. I think I'm liking the Christmas Cactus - I saw that at the Garden Centre the other day and was not sure. The Peace Lily is always lovely when the blooms arrive - they are such neat plants aren't they!

Your plants are thriving, Tootsie!! I love the Jade plant the most. I told you I was given one that was over ten years old and huge. And it slowly died from the moment I got it. I did everything by the book. Can you give me any advice. I'd love to get another.

Thank you for sharing. I write a bi-weekly plant-related article for our local paper. So this week it was relating to fertilizing. To reinforce that I was giving accurate information, I wanted to do some research. I looked in my Mom's plant books, and in one of the books on houseplants it shows some wonderful groupings. That book states that when plants are grouped together, they do better than the same plants placed separately. I'm intrigued, and the groupings are so pretty. What I'm trying to say in this long-winded way, is that maybe I could be tempted into trying some houseplants (other than my indestructible jade and mother-in-law's tongue).
