Since you live in such a cold climate you might not need to worry about that, but around here you can end up with lots of the plants for years to come.
I don't usually do a lot of seeds as I don't have a greenhouse and I am not very patient, but I want to plant "Night and Day" nasturtiums under my rose arbor this year- they are pale ivory-yellow contrasted with mahogany. And probably carrots for our garden. Territorial Seed Company www.territorialseed.com is about 20 miles from my house. In fact I think I did because I commented on your houseplants. Hmmmm where was I the Twilight Zone cause there is nothing here now. And I've been going down the list to see other people's posts. I swear I'm losing it.
Anyway I do Snapdragons too but some have started growing in other spots and they are like a trailing one but only I didn't put them there. More wierd stuff huh. I'm starting to wonder about me.
I love Cosmos and African Daisies too. I think you'll love them. Last summer I got a hardy African Daisy and was pretty excited. Hope it makes it through the winter It's been a really mild one and if it doesn't then it isn't very hardy.RainGardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14071017261791897927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4476624473421483512.post-51897151105046976852010-01-15T09:03:50.465-07:002010-01-15T09:03:50.465-07:00Yes Tootsie,

I find the foliage also gets tatty, but that could well be a result of the large amounts of fog we get here. I tend to use it as a container plant only, but it works well front of garden. It will reseed in milder climates; here, it tends to sprout in late autumn and then get clobbered by a hard frost and not return.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12107236871193698777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4476624473421483512.post-28592565042166150442010-01-15T08:24:59.928-07:002010-01-15T08:24:59.928-07:00Hi Tootsie. My kids and grandkids call snapdragons "singing flowers" They always pull the petals apart and make the flowers sing. The grandkids tell me I must grow them so I do. Hey, if you have time put a post out about your soil purchase and the thawing. That sounds interesting to me.
