Decisions, Decisions!

I have been pouring over my seed books for 2011 for days now…eye balling all the different seeds for the greenhouse crop for the coming year.

There are several that I will ALWAYS plant in there…things that I know will thrive in my gardens no matter what, but each year I try to find a couple new varieties just to keep it challenging.

My list is again ever growing and I am excited to see that many plants that were once only sold as plugs are now coming out in seed. Bacopa is a good example of this. For years I never could find seed for Bacopa, and had to resort to buying a couple plants in the garden center to use in my planters…Last year, I found Bacopa! This made me very happy.

What do you plant in your greenhouse? Do you start from seed? Do you have favorites/staples? Do you have any exciting new varieties to suggest to this gardener today?

The seed order will be going in soon…early January for sure…and I can’t wait to share my final roster of player for the greenhouse this year.

I am also diligently working on a new adventure that I am so excited to share with you all. Stay tuned…the news will be breaking shortly!

I have begun to make myself a schedule to follow as things are beginning to fall into routine for us here in the house of Toots…so I am excited to get around and do some visiting, see what you all have going on, get inspired and wish you all a very merry Christmas and happy Holiday season!

Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers Dec. 10/10

Okay Kids…! It’s Friday AGAIN. Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!! Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together , snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?” Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and a link to Tootise Time, or the linky will be deleted. I don’t mean to be harsh, but there have been a lot of people linking in and when the participants graciously click over to their blogs, there is no sign of Fertilizer Friday anywhere to be found. This is not fair to those who do follow the rules, therefore…well you know!

So? what are you waiting for? Get outside, feed, water, snap and post!

I have nothing to share with you this week. I have been so incredibly busy trying to keep up with the rest of life in general that my online activities are at a virtual stand still! So…the greenhouse is a HUGE mess right now…and I am NOT willing to share that, so…you guys are on your own this week! By next week I hope to have gotten a few minutes to at least sweep up the soil all over from when I knocked over a plant…then maybe just maybe…I will be able to share a few of the plants that I have growing happily in the greenhouse. So…without any more delay…lets get you guys flaunting!
