I am Tired...You are Curious...lucky me!

Well how the heck are ya? I am so glad you stopped by!
I have been doing my level best to get to all of your blogs...but my Internet is intermittent again today! I have no idea why it keeps cutting in and out...maybe they are working on something nearby and have interrupted service! (progress!!!!! ugh) I will try to get to your blogs as soon as I can...I feel awful when you guys come all the way over here and I can't even return the favor! At any rate...thanks to all who took the time...
I have just finished the longest most exhausting weekend in my recent memory!
My seed order is done...and that post generated a lot of questions...lucky for me!
I thought that since I am the laziest of the lazy today...I would post them and their answers...well at least most of them...

Good for you, you finally got it done! How long does it take you to get the seeds you've ordered? And why do you put your house plants in there greenhouse anyway?Justine :o )

Hey girlie!.....I put the house plants in the greenhouse because it is good for them to have a little more light than the winter inside the house can provide....AND....because I needed the space to put the christmas tree up and all the other items that go along with it!. It is dark here more than it is daylight during the cold winter months...and the more light I can give...the better!

I may have told you this before, but ..... when I "knew" you on RMS I had you pictured as a little, round old lady who loved dabbling in her gardens! How wrong could I have been?
Monday, January 12, 2009 1:17:00

HA HA!!!! I am little...5 feet 4 inches....120 pounds....but have been called an old lady in a little girls body in the past....I have been crocheting and x stitching and growing things since I was about 9! I feel really old...does that count?

I'm reading Tootsie, I'm reading. I had to call one of my peeps about this since this is outside of my sphere of influence. I just sit around the office and look pretty :)

This was only a small portion of Tamara's comment...it was a long one and I posted it...because she is hilarious...and sweet....and I wanted to thank her for looking into it for me! Wish me luck girlie!

Hi Tootsie Where do you keep your plants once you have done the seeding? Can you use your greenhouse. We do have a long way to go until spring time...what kinds of seeds will you plant? It sounds like you are getting ready for some fun and work!!have a lovely dayJudi

I keep the seedling in the greenhouse. In my new one (pictured above) I have gas heat! I got it all fixed up now so that even the -40C Alberta weather won't freeze me out! The greenhouse is 12 x 20 feet...so not huge...but just about right for me right now. I will be doing a post of what I plan to plant later this week if my seed packages arrive....I do annuals..as I get bored easily and permanent things like perennials...are like the walls that hold me in! lol
I have to start the geraniums as soon as they arrive...I am already behind!!!! other things next month...and then every two weeks or so after that...Maybe I will take you guys on a planting field trip! Be ready...we get really dirty!

That's all for today guys....this girl is exhausted! I will tell you all about my weekend maybe later this week...if I have the energy to re-live it! I will include what Justine will deem "jillisms"...only they were Tootsisms! Really bad...really funny...seriously embarassing moments happened this weekend....
see you tomorrow...I hope...why is life so darned busy?

Tootsie, I am so glad you have ordered your seeds and thinking about gardening again. This is probably not a question to ask when you are tired but I will anyway, When you begin your planting can you give us a step by step guide to what you are doing, supplies you are using etc. I am going to try my hand at seeds this year, I have ordered some Zinnias, petunias, and white marigolds but only know the basics and I'm sure you have alot of great tips. I am so excited for spring to get here and to see your flowers and also your garden art. Think of you often and I continue to enjoy reading your blog at work every night.

Oh Tootsie! Can't wait to see the end result! We've had such a long drought that I have to enjoy everyone's virtual garden. Take it easy and rest up, now!...Debbie

I agree.. 24 hours just isn't enough!!! we need twelve for sleep (if we'd done the right thing) and 8 for work...that leaves us 4 hours for family and fun.. but wait.. we have to do the cooking and cleaning too!! no wonder we have to cut back on sleep!

Anyway.. looking foward to see you garden in all it splendour!

Toots, I know you're busy and you stop by when you can. I also understand exhausted! I keep thinking my dilemma will end and I'll get my house back in order soon but life just keeps happening and delaying the finish of this room! Oh well, I'll be patient. Maybe today I can work in a nap after work.....LOL! Don't think so!

Life has to be busy, what kind of trouble would Tootsie get in if she were bored? Now that's a scary question...

Perennials are too permanent? Not when you move them around all the time, and when you get tired of them give them to your neighbors! I have been wondering about your season up there- have you ever put out all of your annuals in your yard to then have a late frost kill them all? I sometimes get antsy and put some tender ones (and veggies) out before their time...usually with bad results!! Patience...not something I always have! (at least not in the garden!)
Have a good one!

Hey Tootsie! Can you PLEASE do a post when you plant the geraniums??? Are they seeds? Ok, I'm probably being a dork, but I live in N California & just cut off a piece & stick it in the ground & they usually grow, so I'm not too sure how you would grow them in your location... I'm worried about our weather. It's been in the 70's for a few days. I'm afraid I'm going to lose a bunch of plants when the weather goes back to normal.

I think that field trip of planting would be a great idea for us other gardeners out there that would like to grow things like you do. Take us through a growing season from seeds to transplanting outside. PAM
