Rebounding and Hopeful.

Before I share my post, I would like to thank you all for all of the kind and supportive comments. I am trying to get back to each and every one of you, and visit your sites, I am also so excited to see that Fertilizer Friday is getting to be more popular. This makes my heart sing…seeing all the inspirations you share, is good for this old gardener. I have been slowly but surely getting through the list…it’s taking a while…My sore arm seems to be worse while using the computer than at any other time, so replies and visits are slow going.

Once my spring set up is finished, I will be around…and you will be sick of me!

My gardens did take a bit of a set back with the snow storm we had on the weekend…but…I have hope that there is still some good things to come from my efforts to save them.

Bright and early Tuesday morning, this Toots was out (5:00am) and removing all the tents that covered her beds. All day long I worked my little fingers to the bone. I worked till 10:45pm…with a couple of kid related breaks. Ha-ha.

The full scoop will be dished to you all on Friday, but for now here’s a little peek at what transpired yesterday.

002

A bag full of Iris’s

003

a tiny an uneven bed…

004

changed for the better.

013

an uninteresting scene and crumbling fire pit…

009

an Elder tree..

017

and a change of scenery for the home made fountain.

021

re-arranging the garden art to fill the empty fountain space…

024

passion flower is budding up.

025

Happy Snap Dragons…

027

and a VERY cheerful color of Geranium!

See you Friday for the full flaunt…and to see what you have!

Oh it looks like a lot survived. I am so happy. Your yard is just gorgeous. Even my grass isn't as green as yours. We are nearing the 110 degree, so things are going to start to look even worse. I will just drool over your yard. Hugs, Marty

Wonderful new rearranging!!!(-: When you moved the fountain how did you get electric to that spot? Did you do like I do with electric cords?(-: My husband is always saying no more water features...then one shows up and he likes it...(-: But really if I want more I must just move one I have somewhere else now. I have to many....(-:
We have today and tomorrow of school and then we are done! I can hardly wait! I don't even want to go!(-: See you Friday!

Good Morning Tootsie! Aww...felt so sad for you when you had that terrible snow storm! Oh thank goodness things are looking great! I have to tell you that bike planter is awesome and yes, love your grass, it is beautiful and so green!!

I am so glad that everything still looks green Tootsie. I really like the new position of your pump fountain. More perennials too in a long iris bed. You have been busy girl no wonder your arm still hurts.

What a shame that you had a snow, just when you thought it was safe to go back in the yard! I'm glad everything survived. You are one talented gardener!

So glad you didn't lose your plants! Just found your blog last week and your yard / flowers are absolutely gorgeous! So much work, but worth it. Love your greenhouse - I dream of having one some day.

Hi Tootsie! You poor thing! I hadn't been around these past few days cause I had been so busy from a high school graduate to a 6th grader passing to 7th grade. So there were many celebrations here. :) I hope you didn't lose any of your plants or that it was very minimal. Girl, we are starting a heatwave in Texas. The next few days are in the triple digits with 107 being the highest this week. We'll all be toasting away here. lol I'll see you on Fertilizer Friday. God Bless.

Love what I've seen today and can't wait til FF. That bike is too cute, did you find it at a tag sale? Do you do all of this by yourself or do your have a 'handy man' help you out? I let my MM (maintenance man) do some of the heavy digging... makes him feel needed :)

How I wish California looked that green...the heat is beginning and our poor grass is beginning to stress. So far no dire warnings about being fined if we water our lawns. Our Coastal Redwoods that are just beginning to really get a foothold need LOTS of water! I must so soon and get the old Petunia's replaced with perinnials. I hate removing that beautiful pink...but...it has to be done. They are finally totally spent.
No cold snaps for us. Your yard is so lush and green, Tootsie!
Hugs and love,
Mona

Good morning Tootsie, Sorry about the weather...it's just been crazy here too! It's cold and windy one day and 86 degrees the next! Your garden looks pretty GREAT for the wear though, and your lawn is to die for. What do you use to make it so green? It looks like velvet. Yvonne :)

Looks like the snow didn't do any serious damage!! So very glad for you!! Just always the busy bee you are! My newest love is Alpaca poop! You can put it on the plants right away and it will not burn as it is low in acid. I have a friend who has 40 Alpacas and she brings me 7-10 5 gallon buckets of Alpaca poop every few weeks. She tells me she has never seen anyone so excited about poop!

bee blessed

Hi Tootsie,
I made it back to my computer after weeding my veggie garden. I hope your plants rebound. I like your rearranging. I plan to look in my shed and garage for some items to place in bare spots.
