Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers NOV. 5/10

Copy_of_001

Okay Kids…! It’s Friday AGAIN. Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!! Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together , snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?” Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and a link to Tootise Time, or the linky will be deleted. I don’t mean to be harsh, but there have been a lot of people linking in and when the participants graciously click over to their blogs, there is no sign of Fertilizer Friday anywhere to be found. This is not fair to those who do follow the rules, therefore…well you know!

So? what are you waiting for? Get outside, feed, water, snap and post!

My offering this week is current!!! I am glad that I had something to share…and even happier that I had a chance to take some photos! I have been a sick Toots…on top of the recent busy schedule I have been trying to keep! Anyways…enough with a stressful horrible week…it’s the weekend…and time is a bloomin’!

005

It seems that the Passion Vine likes it in the greenhouse…the first of several bloom buds has opened! I never tire of seeing this plant bloom…the flowers are just so intricate…makes the magic of mother nature…really obvious.

006

The pink Breast Cancer Hydrangea (that I thought was a gonner) is budding up and getting her bloom back on!

007

My old Hydrangea…that I just de-bugged…(damn spider mites) is still blooming…and actually growing a couple of leaves…she still looks very sad…but hey…she was a victim of a serious attack..what do we expect?

008

My old lady geranium…is blooming up a storm still…I am so glad to have this plant still…it is several years old…8 to be exact.

010

My red Mandevilla is still going strong…although there are a few yellowing leaves…perhaps I didn’t get it enough water…but probably watered too much…the girls were ‘helping’ …and well…you know…

AND…NOW….CAN I GET A DRUMROLL PLEASE????? Thanks!!!

Tootsie is proud to present to you all….a very special unveiling…direct from Darla’s garden to my greenhouse…

011

THE LOOFA SEEDS SHE SENT ME ARE UP!!!! I am so excited to share these..if you remember, I had some from trailrider…she sent me a bunch last spring. They grew…and then I killed them!!!! The late spring frost got them and I was very sad. Darla heard my pleas for more seeds, and sent me a few…I finally got them into some soil and waited…they popped up last Saturday….I have been pussy footing around them all week….just hoping for a first set of true leaves…and here they are! woo hoo!!!! Now, if I can just keep them alive….Smile Thank you Darla!!!

That is all I have for you today…I hope you have a lot to share with us! I am off to a hockey tournament this weekend with my son…so hope to see you all next week! Please link in below to join the party!

Until next week…hugs, smiles and wishes for a safe and happy weekend to you all! I wish my very special three…all the winks they can handle…and to just one…(and you know who you are)…There is a choice you make in everything you do, and in the end that very choice that you make…MAKES YOU. We are all the sum of the choices each of us has made. (I am proud of my choices…are you?) *) *) *) MWUAH!

You are so lucky to have the greenhouse! The passion flower vine is beautiful, isn't it? Mine is very full with many buds, but unfortunately it will be gone with heavier frosts, and the buds haven't opened since it got colder.

If you have tips for hydrangea let me know, I am so not had any luck with them. Still have one that is not blooming anymore. Wished she would get her groove on! LOL

Nice Tootsie! I posted loofah harvesting a couple of posts back..I am so glad they germinated for you. The vine can climb 30 feet or so, give it some room. I also have plenty more seeds if anyone is interested.

Happy FF, Tootsie! I am so envious that you have actual BLOOMS to photograph. Ours are spent, we are getting frosty overnights now.

And I cannot believe you have an 8 year old geranium; my grandmother had an ancient scarlet one in her kitchen. It was so large it scared me when i was little!

I love visiting your blog and seeing (and envying) the products of your fabulous green thumb!

Hi Tootsie girl. I just love the flowers of the Passion Vine. They are just so unusual and pretty.
Oh no, not the Loofa again. Remember to put a machete in the greenhouse to cut your way out when it gets huge. LOL! Have a great weekend with the kiddo's.

Well, I still have nothing much to contribute...but come by anyway to take a peek at others.. :)
And...by the way...how come you just keep getting cuter with the passage of time and I just keep getting grayer! NOT fair! :)

Your Passion Flower is gorgeous! I might have to dig mine up and put it in my little greenhouse...maybe I can get it to bloom that way. Gorgeous!

I didn't have a Friday share since I was down for the weekend. I'm loving catching up with everyone on Sunday hoping my passion flower blooms like that in the greenhouse this winter.

Thanks for making the garden a friendly place to share - via your Fertilize Friday!
