Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers March 16/12

Copy_of_001

IT’S FRIDAY AGAIN!!!! i am SO glad to see you!

Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!! Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!
If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:
If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like.
The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!
You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!
All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted.

So....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

I had a very busy week this week…both of my little girls were quite sick again…this spring weather is not helping us stay healthy…seems all the virus’s are out and in full strength. In spite of a couple of set backs, I did manage to get a lot done in my greenhouse!!!

DSCN2759

It is filling up fast in there!

DSCN2760

I will be scrounging for space in there very soon!

DSCN2780

Things are popping up left and right! This is bacopa…I love this plant!

DSCN2734

The Geraniums are getting bigger each day!!! YAY!

DSCN2764

My Engleman’s Ivy is sprouting leaves!!!

I made several trips to the farm this week to collect some of my plants that were stored there for the winter. I have lived without them LONG ENOUGH!

DSCN2773

I was so happy to see my Jade plant survived!!! I love this baby!

DSCN2739

My hens and chicks is growing very well!!! I need to find a great spot for them in my garden…

DSCN2744

The wandering jew plant is doing ok…not great..but OK…

DSCN2753

Where it seems that many of my plants suffered from lack of light there…the lipstick plant is in full bloom!!!

DSCN2751

It is almost like they are saying ROAR!!! I love how intricate the blooms are!

DSCN2762

The Wisteria that I struggled with for the last two years, seems to be happy enough too! ( go figure..ha ha )

DSCN2768

There were a few blooms to share this week too!!! The Geraniums are blooming…this one is 2 years old.

DSCN2738

I brought home almost all of my plants…many are in the house now…but there were a few that needed the TLC of the greenhouse…then there are the ones that suffered…

DSCN2746

…for example…this passion flower vine…not too bad…but very pale and limp…

DSCN2784

…a very sad looking fern…I hope it survives…

DSCN2786

…this is another passion flower vine…it is not dead…but I am not happy about how it looks…it just didn’t get enough light out there…I am sure I can get it going again…gave it a haircut…and a little food.

DSCN2787

My poor Mandevilla vine!!! I hope it comes back…fingers crossed!

DSCN2785

When Grammie told me that I had better hurry myself up and go pick up my plants because they were all dying…I expected MUCH worse…I still have a lot of plants…and I am sure that I will be able to help these back to their glory…Over all…I am a happy Tootsie…I am once again living with my plants!

That’s my share for this week…It is your turn now!!! Go! Get your Flaunt ON!!!!

Hugs , smiles and wishes for a safe and happy weekend with friends and family from Tootsie and her gang in Zone 2 Alberta Canada!!!

Until Next Time…Happy gardening!

*)*)*)…just a thought for my three peeps….”never ignore a person that loves you, cares for you and misses you, as you might wake from your sleep to discover that you lost the moon while courting the stars”

I love your lipstick plant! You have such a beautiful garden! I have always heard that hanging a fern in the shower and misting it brings it back to life! My hubby use to work in a florist/greenhouse. He had a beautiful fern! I currently only have a handful of house plants, philodendrons thrive! We have not started any planting in the yard as we are still working in the house on Spring repairs. Our yard is awful, brown and bare! Any great tips for a new gardener? I would love a huge rose garden, like the one my aunt and uncle had when I was a kid! I can close my eyes and still smell the sweetness of those roses. Thanks for the share today. Hugs Anne

I can imagine planting that many little seedlings, but I cannot imagine having to plant them out when they grow and the weather warms where you are. One flat and I feel I've really done something.

Love the Lipstick Plant flowers. Such brilliant detail. Everything looks like it's on the go out in your greenhouse. I'm glad to see the Wisteria is still chugging along. The fern, the passion flower vines and the Mandevilla will all come back now they're ensconced back in your greenhouse under your care. I'm sure of it!

A busy time of year for a gardener. I'm so looking forward to your beautiful blooms this spring and summer. Looks like many faired well and those that didn't I think you can help them along. Glad you are getting some greenhouse time. Hope the kids feel better soon.

Hi Tootsie, your seeds are germinating well, and i am sure the already grown ones will grow better in a little while, now that you already gave them the needed attention. I was not able to link this time because i was late, so I am absent for this week here.
