Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers May 18/12

Copy_of_001

HAPPY FRIDAY AGAIN!!!! I am SO glad to see you!
Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!! Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!
If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:
If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing! You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly! All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted.
So....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

I hope you all had a fantastic week!!! I know I had a very busy one! It was so lovely outside, that I spent a lot of time out there doing work in my yard. It seems to be taking FOREVER to see any progress…but…any progress is better than none!

Take a peek at what I have done so far:

DSCN3366

You all remember the shed that we struggled and finally moved to this location??? Well…it needed a new floor…so it got a new plywood floor…(next we need to put new skids under it.) and I decided to CUTE it up just a little bit!

DSCN3367

I just hung two plant hangers for hanging baskets, my iron piece, and one of my 1/2 baskets on the side.

DSCN3369

I did pretty much the same for the back…I hope to add some interest to that little window some how…will see what I can think of…

DSCN3371

The front side, got two hanging baskets and one on the door as well. This door is almost seen it’s last day, so I am going to be replacing it as soon as I get a new one…otherwise it would be getting a HUGE make over…it is in nasty condition! It is starting to rot, so it’s time…lol

DSCN3368

I dragged a whole lot of left over bricks and made a little seating area on the side of the greenhouse. I also started to place a few pots in different spots.

DSCN3370

I hung 4 hangers on the post by the greenhouse, pulled my wagon wheels and some other little jugs etc. out of storage, and placed them in front of the post. I also made a little border out of cut trees to hold the cedar chips in place.

DSCN3372

I didn’t have time to get busy and place all the garden accessories that I pulled out of storage, or cut any beds to finish the shed area yet…next week I hope…as it is going to be planting time in a few days!!!

DSCN3352

For now…this is what I am up to! Can’t wait to share this next week…if I manage to finish it!

I wish all of my followers hugs and smiles, and safe and happy weekend plans! Thanks for dropping in and to those that faithfully link in to this party…THANK YOU!

It is the May long weekend for us in Alberta!!! Hope everyone has a great time!

Until Next Time….Happy Gardening!

It's been a long time, like a winter's hiatus worth, since I've been by and look what you've been busy with! I love the iron piece on the side of your shed. Forgive my, but did you move your greenhouse from your previous place? Wow, it is all coming together so well! Good on ya!

You have been busy and the garden shed is looking very nice. How about some cute curtains in the window to give it some pizazz?
I think my garden shed door will need replacing in the next year or so too, even the wood floor is suspect at times.
There's an old milk can by the door, do you plant it too?

I'm excited about my tomatoes this week on your Fertilize Friday ... I love reading about all the really cool things you are starting new in your garden. You have a talent for taking something that needs some love and making it worth a million bucks! LOVE IT!

Happy Growing - looking forward to watching your new garden grow.

Your shed is definitely on the cute looking side now. I also rather love those lovely old broken wagon wheels sitting by your greenhouse. They look fantastic. It's nice to see your pots hanging out in quite a few spots outside now.

It is inspiring to see your progress from week to week, transforming the new place into Tootsieland.

My post this week shows the importance of fertilizer on Gardenias.

I just love your little shed! The brick sitting area is so cute! I don't get to use mine like I'd like to, the mosquitos eat me up!

Your garden shed is just gorgeous! It was worth all the work to move it into place (at least I think so, because I didn't have to do all the work!) We've had hot weather here, and been working on several new garden projects--it's been fun to see things shaping up. And the roses and clematis are starting to bloom! Thank you for hosting this fun garden party.
