Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers May 25/12

Copy_of_001

HAPPY FRIDAY AGAIN!!!! I am SO glad to see you!
Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!! Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!
If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:
If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing! You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly! All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted.
So....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

Boy did this week fly by!!! It seems like yesterday was Friday! I trust you all had a fantastic long weekend??? I know I really enjoyed mine!

This week brought my garden a lot of rain. Several days worth in fact. I am excited that things are growing and that I am able to start to plant my bedding out plants any day now!

While it was raining I did a lot of work in the house…renovations are coming along very nicely, and I am preparing a post tonight to share with you on Monday. (relax…there is no rush…but we do have to get this flaunt on before we share the inside stuff!!!)

So??? What are we waiting for??? Lets get this party started….everyone got their flaunt on???

My greenhouse is LOADED with all sorts of good things this week. It seems so full in there…even after I took 14 hanging baskets to a friend for her yard…I can’t wait to get my plant on! There are so many new blooms today, it makes me excited to share!

DSCN3437

There are Dahlias just blooming to perfection!

DSCN3456

There are no two the same…just so inspiring!

DSCN3452

Petunias always put on such a great show!

DSCN3455

The blue ones…are one of my favorite colors.

DSCN3460

White Petunia adds a little delicate touch to any pot or garden bed.

DSCN3445

I have spider plants from seed popping up in their pots…I just love starting houseplants from seed.

DSCN3448

A very Pretty Gerbera Daisy!

DSCN3441

There are even Cactus sprouts coming up!

DSCN3444

It is so fascinating to watch a cactus grow from a seed. I love how they are already prickly, even at this tiny stage.

Not everything blooming is welcome in my gardens!!! These Dandelions are super happy because of all the rain…I need to get rid of these!!!

I hope to be out planting my gardens on the weekend…there is a chance of frost the next two nights for me…and I am just not willing to risk it yet! Wish me luck!

What do you have growing and blooming in your gardens this week??? I am looking forward to seeing it all!!! I should have a little time to peek at everyone this week…I almost made it around to everyone last week! To those I didn’t get to…I am on my way!

I wish all of my followers hugs and smiles, and safe and happy weekend plans! Thanks for dropping in and to those that faithfully link in to this party…and who are patient while waiting for me to finally visit you…THANK YOU!

Until Next Time….Happy Gardening!

*)*)*) Never miss the chance to do something nice for someone even if that means leaving them alone. Loving someone who doesn't love you, it's like hugging a cactus. The tighter you hold on, the more it hurts. It’s time… please…let go…you can’t start your new life until you do. Just sayin’!

Hello Ms Tootsie! I have really missed my bloom time each week. (been offline for a while)
What a pretty place is your greenhouse, just heavenly! Hope you and yours have a wonderful weekend. (I still have a healthy Moses in the boat if you would like me to send it to you:)

Hey Tootsie... I noticed in one of your comments tonight that you said you grew a dogwood in your old yard... I'm very curious to know what cultivar it was as it must have been quite hardy to grow in your area... Larry

Wonderful picture of your dahlias. I love the orange color of the characters. My dahlias are still very small. If you sow yourself Gerbera? I know no one near me who does. Everything is imported from other countries. I buy a plant now in May and usually flower at roughly until September. I wish you a wonderful weekend! Zinnia

Your beautiful flowers brightened my day! Even the dandelions ;)
Sorry I haven't been particpating, in FF, but stuck in a dark hole I'm doing my best to climb out of.
My poor gardens are a mess (as is my house)it's all I can do just to go out and water them.
Hoping to join next week...of course that was what I thought last week :/
Have a great weekend!

Hi Glenda: Thank you for hosting Fertilizer Friday! Your plants are just so pretty, and I drool all over the keyboard each time you show us pictures of the inside of your greenhouse! I do hoops and clear plastic for my veggis, but don't have a greenhouse . . .yet.

Hello Tootsie! Your greenhouse made me gasp out loud this morning which brought Carl scurrying over to see what I was so enthused about. My goodness, what a LOT of flowers you have growing on in there! Just amazing.

I do not know where you find all the energy dear lady, but if you could bottle it, you would have a market for sure.... 'Tootsie's Tonic', guaranteed to get results in your garden!

I am running around here like usual in fourteen different directions at once trying to get ready for a garden walk coming here in thirteen days. Good grief! I will never agree to such an early to-do again.

Like you, I Adore annuals for their bright colors and all season-long performance; when people come so early, none of my babies will be blooming much which is a shame. Oh, well.

I'm planting out this weekend too and hope the frost chances are over. It's supposed to be in the high 80's in a few days though which makes me nervous, but I guess they have to get in the ground sometime, right?

So good to visit with you Tootsie, hopefully in a few weeks I can link in and join the party. Hugs to you and don't work TOO hard!
