Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers June 15/12

Copy_of_001

HAPPY FRIDAY AGAIN!!!! I am SO glad to see you!
Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!! Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!
If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:
If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like
. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing! You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly! All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted.
So....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

Well, this has once again been a very busy week. First and foremost I would like to absolutely apologize for not being able to find one spare minute to get around to all that took the time to visit and link in the last two weeks or so. I just feel terrible about neglecting you all! Forgive me…I will do my level best to get around to you all this week…I just cannot believe how busy this Tootsie has been lately! Dealing with the kids, getting the site ready for the garage to be built and doing some yard work…on top of every thing else! Today I will be flaunting the current view of my gardens…well some of them. I have another post in the works to share next week hopefully, once a few more things are done on it…I also invite you to stop by for Father’s Day. That post is almost ready too! Hee hee!

This weekend bodes to be a busy one, so today we flaunt just a little early so that I am not late for my own party!

Lets get this flaunt on the go!

DSCN3720

I put some pots on the back steps. I think they are looking great back there. The grass I transplanted but close to that bed is starting to take. I added some soil to the bare spots and sprinkled some grass seed there…I am waiting impatiently for that to sprout…seems an endless train of waiting in this process!!!

The past week has had a lot of wind and rainy weather again, but the flowers seem to be holding their own none the less!

DSCN3661

I finished building and planted the two small rounded beds on each side of the sidewalk by the steps. I hope they fill out soon!

DSCN3669

I finished building and planting the bed on the side of the back yard too! I hope it gets big and bushy and helps to hide the wood pile in the neighbors yard…ha ha ! I have another little idea for this bed…but I need some help to pull it off…so maybe next week…

DSCN3670

This is a shot of the first bed I built by the greenhouse. The soil isn’t the best in this one…so I hope that things take off soon!!! I have to amend the soil in there…that will wait till fall.

DSCN3727

My freshly mowed front lawn…the seed is starting to take…and the grass is looking better every day.

DSCN3733

A view from the street. I am excited to see all the bare spots in the lawn filling in! Man is that sun bright today…the grass looks so bright! ha ha

DSCN3740

My pots are looking great!!! I am very happy with most of the pots I did up this year.

DSCN3736

It seems that this bed does not like to be photographed…I can never get a good shot of it! It does look quite nice in person.

DSCN3739

Once this bed fills right in and is overflowing with color…the grass fills in and there is not one bare spot to show…you will never know this whole front area seems to be built on an ant hill! ha ha!

DSCN3743

Finally, a very quick shot of the view of the back yard. I can’t wait to have all this finished up too! The whole process of this yard seems to be taking forever!!! Patience, is not one of my virtues I guess…and so I wait…impatiently.

That’s it for this Tootsie for today!!!

What do you have growing and blooming in your gardens this week??? I am looking forward to seeing it all!!!

I wish all of my followers hugs and smiles, and safe and happy weekend plans! Thanks for dropping in and to those that faithfully link in to this party…and who are patient while waiting for me to finally visit you…THANK YOU!

Until Next Time….Happy Gardening!

*)*)*) to my three special winks…Choices...the ones we make are the ones we live with! HUGS!

Your projects look wonderful! It would help me if I narrowed my thinking to one thing at a time...when I look at my yard as a whole, I'm overwhelmed! I like the way your yard is turning out...very nice.

The grass really looks great. I am struggling right now to get a few patches to fill in.

It will look very Tootsie'ish in a little while, we also wait! But i wish that very straight long cement white path is a bit curving, hahaha. It looks like an arrow pointing to the center of the house!

Your lawn does look lush and green. It's hard to start with small plants but as you said, they fill in quickly. Looking pretty good.

Gosh I hope you don't mind me adding my poor little gardening efforts to all the beauty I see here every week.... but I've been working hard to measure up to your standards !!!!!

Your gardens, beds and landscaping are wonderful and such an inspiration!!!!

I love your blooms this week. I'm a little jealous, your landscaping looks so nice & tidy. My yard seems to be overgrown, with a few pretty blooms peeking out.

You have made your garden beds so beautiful. Each corner seems to be bright and colorful.

I think you're busy as a bee. Every week when I look into your blog, you have done a lot. It is neat with rounded shapes of flower beds. The longer the discounts look like small meandering streams! I wish you a nice weekend! Zinnia

Hi Glenda: I love your blog! I was up working on my first (!) guest gardening post a couple of nights ago, and when I started to get tired, I visited your site and went back and read a bunch of the older posts--I knew you were a great gardener, but now I think you are an amazing one. I love how your new garden is turning out--really dramatic differences from when you started at your new place. I also really like the trenches that you put around the bed edges--I'd like to try that here. Cheers and keep up the excellent work here--you inspire me!

my yard is actually looking pretty good right now and I fully planned on taking some pictures, but alas, Life got away from me. I'll try another Friday :)

I love your new yard! It is coming along so nicely! The shapes of the beds are so pretty! Can't wait to see it all filled in!! You are a bundle full of energy...it does take hard work and patience to create a garden...you have both!! I've never seen anyone work so hard...blessings to you my friend! Your hard work is paying off!
