Can Anyone Please Tell Me ...Is This Normal? Wednesday extra

These little clear balls appeared all over my Engelman's Ivy. I have no idea what the heck they are...I remember seeing them once on the one that grows outside in my front yard. This on is in the greenhouse...growing on a trellis. If it is loaded with bugs...I need to remove it NOW...but if this is just normal plant behavior...I can let this breath out!
I know I am probably living in denial that there are going to be scores of bugs coming out of these balls....but please PLEASE tell me I'm wrong!!!!
I have asked several garden forums, and a couple of experts...and no one knows...do you?
Until I figure this out...I am holding my breath a little...and no one wants to see a BLUE faced Tootsie!!!...HELP!
please don't miss the post below that was supposed to be the one for today!

Tootsie, I've always heard that bugs look like these when they lay eggs. I don't know though if its harmful. I deal with a nursery here in Cincinnati called white oak garden center in Northbend Ohio. Look them up on the internet and ask them. They are really good and very knowledgeable.
I don't know what they are, but possibly insect eggs?
I just found your blog (thanks for visiting mine) and it's great! Love your music choices too! :)

Hello Tootsie, I am sorry I have no idea what that is on your Ivy but I do know that I am going to learn a great deal from your beautiful blog, my garden is many shades of Green and what I want is for it to grow up and look like your garden, your header is stunning, happy Wednesday, Kathy.

I am going to guess eggs. I hope that is not the case. Let us all know when you find out. Maybe you could take it to a local nursery and ask?

I have no idea. Did you google the ivy on the internet? Of course, that could take forever to find the right answer.

I would suggest you go to a local nursery with a leaf and ask them. That's what I did with a plant I had. Sorry. No help.

Of course, brown thumb here is of no help. I just hope you find out soon, so your mind can be at ease. Have a good week. Sally

I'm clueless, but they're scary! Run, don't walk, to your local nursery with a cutting. If they send you to the isolation ward, faint. Then wake up and ask for help. Nancy
PS: Blossom had a great idea about asking her nursery.
Tootsie, I have seen them before. But, I can't remember what I did for them. They are insect eggs. I think you should treat you plant. ASAP. Head to the nursery, gf!!
