Goodbye Peppered Pecan....Welcome Walnut Grove!

HELLLLOOOOO!!!! Did ya miss me??? Well I certainly did miss you all! Unfortunately, I may be missing you for a few more days...since now that I am almost finished my big project...I now have to decorate for Christmas...lol. I have a few photos to share of what I have been doing for the last few days. I am only sharing a little peek...One room. I have several rooms of transformation to share, but I figured that a post with every room is toooooo many photos!
I thought that maybe joining the Shabby Chic Cottage for Transformation Thursday would be a fun way to get my groove back on, so here's part one of the BIG REVEAL!!! The next three photos are of my master bathroom. These are the BEFORE photos...
Notice the color on the walls? It is called Peppered Pecan...and I loved the color.
Ha -ha...the little table hadn't been painted yet when these photos were taken....so there is another difference to see...lol
This color is similar in my eye to hot chocolate...or coffee with lots of cream. It is warm and I still liked it, but the room needed to be painted...and I had grown a tad tired of it in here...so ......TA-DA!!! I would like to introduce you to a color called Walnut Grove. It is a deep shade of olive green and I LOVE this color too!!! (it looks way greener in the photos than it does in real life-maybe you should hop a plane and come see it in person? lol)
The two photos on the wall above the table, are thrift store finds a while back. The color is perfect! I took down the little magazine rack that I had hanging on the wall (see last photo of before shots) I like the way they look with the curtain and the walls. I want to move the curtain over the tub to the downstairs basement, and make myself a new bathtub curtain and one to match for the window...more than likely this will wait till after Christmas, as this is a busy time of year for us. For now, it will do.
Another view though the mirror.
The built in shelving beside the tub....
And the awful medicine cabinet. I do have a plan for this too..notice the screw I put in it? One day I will finish this part too...but after the holidays...unless....I get decorated fast. lol
So that is what I did after I put my gang to bed last Thursday evening. Not bad for a couple hours work! Oh look! I just noticed that even my Kleenex box matches!!! That is SO NOT planned! lol
Tomorrow is Fertilizer Friday...get your photos ready guys and gals!!!! I can't wait to see what you flaunt! Please take this invite to join me!
Then after that we will continue with the reveal of the rest of my big undertakings!
Head over to the Shabby Chic Cottage to see what everyone else is sharing this week!

Tootsie I love the warmth of both colors..you always do wonderful work. I know it's nice to 'change' things in and around the house...kind of like a cleansing isn't it? Did you check your email??? I'll go check mine and see.

Oh my! I have no words for this transformation...okay, you know me and I have tons of words, lol! It was perfect before and it's certainly a different kind of perfect now! I like the table you painted black too. You have such an elegant bathroom. I really need you to hop that plane and fly down and help me make my house fantastic! You could help me learn how to thrift store shop as I never find treasures. People tell me that we're too thrifty in Utah and don't give away stuff until it's junk. I tend to believe that bz I can never find anything in the thrift stores here. Once again, this bathroom is beautiful and you did a fantastic job!
I love your new color. It is gorgeous and your new decorations are beautiful. Your bathroom is stunning. Also your pictures are fabulous. It is really hard to take pictures of a bathroom and you did a fabulous job. I also hope to see you for the "Holiday Cloche Party" tomorrow. I will have Mr. Linky up tonight. Hugs, Marty

Great work Tootsie. Your bathroom is looking good. I feel bad - I never re do much around here. Maybe once every 10 years if that. LOL Well, I'll just keep enjoying yours!
I did, however, change things here in my office yesterday. Got a new computer and external HD. WoW! My other one has been soooooooooooo close to dying it was scary but were bookin' now. I didn't even have to wait an hour for your page to load.
Can't wait to see the rest of your transformations!

That looks good Tootsie. I love the color on the walls. Pretty shower curtain. You have been a busy girl. You can work circles around me. It feels so good to make over a room and stand back in awe of the change. Very warm.

Your decorating ideas are inspiring. I love the Walnut Grove green. It is very similar to what I have in my Living Room although I forget the name of the color, it's been a few years.

Also, thanks for hosting Flaunt your flowers. That's always fun when I can take part.

Tootsie, I have a "Best Blog" award for you on my blog. There is no pressure to participate though. I know some people do not have the time or just do not accept awards.
Congratulations you deserve It!

It looks like you did a lot of work. I watched a lot of home reno shows this week, and so it seems so "easy" because the renos only took half an hour ☺☺☺, so by reading your blog it seems like your bathroom makeover took only 5 minutes, especially since you said "after I put the kids to bed".

Hi Tootsie. I've just been catching up on your blog after a very busy few days - I hope your hip is better now? you really must be a bit more careful (says she who gave herself a massive hernia hauling huge rocks around the garden!!!)
I love that olive green. It looks great - and what a fabby bathroom!I'm quite envious and may just have to take up the offer of popping on a plane...!
Girl, you have such fabulous style! Great job! Love it!
It turned out great! I love the color. The name reminds me of Little House on the Prairie.
Anyway, we are hoping to redo part of a bathroom over the break and seeing your color gives me some ideas.

Glenda this only makes me wish I had driven up and stayed the night!. So cool. we even like the same colours. What brand is the Walnut grove? I have green in my kitchen and entrance walls that need to be freshened up. The pecan is pretty much the colour of the logs inside so I need contrast.
