Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers Aug.24/12

Copy_of_001

IS EVERYBOY READY!!!! IT IS FRIDAY!!! FRIDAY IS FLAUNTING DAY!!! I am so glad you stopped by!

Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!! Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!
If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:
If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing! You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!
All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted.
So....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

I can already see the signs of summer fading away and fall creeping in around my area. I still, however, have a few things to share that are bright and cheerful and full of life!

DSCN5005

My front island bed is still doing well. The Dahlia’s need to be dead headed…but I am going to try to get seed from them so I will leave it for a while longer and hope I find a few!

DSCN5013

There is a lot of blooming color in the bed along the front of the house…I wish I could share a “good” photo of it…but a photographer I am not!

DSCN5014

My Olden bench is full as ever!

DSCN5015

The front lawn is coming along…it is thickening up each week…at least it is green!!! ha ha

DSCN5018

This bike is one of my favorite places in my garden to look at. It filled in and is just so pretty to look at!

DSCN5019

I really didn’t have high hopes for the bed I made along the fence line…beside the fire pit. I figured it would be WAY behind as I planted it last…but it is fantastic!

DSCN5020

Things are filling in along the gas line bed!

DSCN5031

I still love the Black Petunias that I got this year!

DSCN5056

I like the entrance to the greenhouse when it is all planted up. I dread the dead look of winter that is coming.

DSCN5057

I planted that rhubarb as foliage and interest…but it sure is tempting to snack on! ha ha

DSCN5094

Have I mentioned lately how I love Hydrangea???

DSCN5100

I am so happy to have some volunteer ferns…I love them!

DSCN5122

This pathway to the plug in is one of my favorite spots…I love how the geraniums spill over and line the sides…I just love flowers in general I think.

Okay kids…that is all for me for this week…now it is your turn.,,,

What are you waiting for??? Get flaunting!

I wish all of you hugs and smiles, and safe and happy weekend plans! Thank you all so much for dropping in today, and to those that faithfully link in to this party…and who are patient while waiting for me to finally visit you…THANK YOU!

Until Next Time….Happy Gardening!

Your front lawn is looking fantastic, and those garden beds are still beautiful. I love the Pelargoniums spilling over the stepping stones, and those beautiful volunteer ferns.

I have monitored everything you did since your old place, to your clearing, planting, renovation, etc, etc, and now the fruits of your labor are showing up awesomely. In my mind's eye i am comparing the differences, and i am so very happy for you Tootsie. Please excuse me for my fun post, but i still want to join the fun!

Your garden is looking wonderful and shows no signs yet of impending fall. I love those black petunias. they are really unusual. Hope you have a great weekend.

Tootsie, Your flowers are beautiful. Black Petunia's ?
That is a first for me. I bought a black Iris, never saw petunias.
This Summer was a Summer from HELL.
Not only am I limping from the new hip, but I have had attacks from
Jap Beetles on Cherry tree. Now My Pear tree 8 yrs old, with it's first Pears Turned BLACK. Like you took a torch to it.
It all happened in 3 days FIREBLIGHT. I had to clip off all the branches. Maybe I should cut the trunk off. Confused. Just thought I'd ask have you had these problems? Also id whooping Cough
HIT Canada yet?
Best wishes, yvonne
