Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers . Sept.21/12
IS EVERYBOY READY!!!! IT IS FRIDAY!!! FRIDAY IS FLAUNTING DAY!!! I am so glad you stopped by!
Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!! Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!
If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:
If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing! You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly! All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted.
So....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...
This week brought with it many things two of which were a bad virus and FROST! Yep…I said it…FROST!
It seems that in spite of the bit cooler overnight temps, and the frost, things are still doing alright in my gardens.
It doesn’t seem as though the frost has caused any damage…
Much of my garden is still doing great!
It seems that the containers are all changing at different times this year The ones in the front yard are still going strong, where some in the back are already finished!
The piano flower display is still very bright and punchy.
The Geraniums in the front beds are just starting to get bushy and have lots of blooms on them.
There was a point that I thought this area was already done for the year, but somehow it perked right back up and looks good again!
I really hope the frost holds off for a few more weeks…or even just a day or two…I am not quite ready to let the pretties of the summer go….not just yet! (above Strawflower)
Okay kids…that is all for me for this week…now it is your turn.,,,
What are you waiting for??? Get flaunting!
I wish all of you hugs and smiles, and safe and happy weekend plans! Thank you all so much for dropping in today, and to those that faithfully link in to this party…and who are patient while waiting for me to finally visit you…THANK YOU!
Until Next Time... Happy Gardening!

Glenda,
I really hope your frost holds off a little while longer too. Your flowers are still really pretty.

Hi Tootsie, You have definitely toosie-fied your gardens at your new home! They are so colorful and stunning! Your creativity and tenacity amaze me. Thanks for hosting Fertilizer Friday; it's one of my favorite blog parties.
hugs, Beth
Your garden never ceases to amaze me!!
Mine is winding down and since I have been decorating for Fall I added Mums to the front yard and moved most of the Summer flowers to the back....
Thanks so much for hosting!!
Hugs,
Debbie
Amazing looks like these beds have been established for years! Love ya..
Hey Tootsie,
I do hope the frost is kept at bay so you can continue to enjoy the fruit of your labor. Growing so many annuals allows your garden to reinvent itself many times over. Have fun mulling over all the different options for next year's cast of characters.
Your colorful beds are so nice. I hope the frost holds off there for a little while.
I was late to a meeting this morning and failed to comment when I posted my link. Thanks.
Just a gorgeous bunch of flowers everywhere...I am a amazed at how well they are doing in your cool garden...my dry garden has a few blooms left.
Happy Friday again Tootsie, i smiled at Beth's comment for saying Tootsie-fied. I've been calling gardens like yours as Tootsie-ish! And I am sure many of us know what Beth and I meant. I envy the show of the petunias in cold climes, I tried it hoping I will get a Tootsie-looking hanging basket, but i didn't. They grow so long and lanky and then produce one flower at the end, can you visualize that!
Frost? Doesn't look like it in your photos. I like a series of light frost to slowly put the garden to sleep. Not a big freeze it all at once front.
Hi Toostsie, I am shuffling around here we had a frost too. Getting out my Pumpkins and decorations and bringing in some plants. WHAT a crazy Summer. Wonder what kind of Winter is ahead. Stay well and best wishes to the children too.
