Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers April 26/13

Copy_of_001

WELCOME!

Do you know what day it is???

It’s Friday !!!!

Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol)  It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!

Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!
If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like.

The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted.

So?????....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

SPRING FINALLY SHOWED HER FACE IN ALBERTA CANADA!!!!
YAAAAAAY!
The temperatures in my little corner of the world have decided to smarten up and the snow is disappearing!   Things are lookin’ up!

I etched out a little time to spend in the greenhouse this week…I had a lot to do in there.
It started out ….
012
Looking like this!   It was a tad “hairy” in there!   Things needed to be tidied up…organized and perhaps a little trimming would need to take place!

013

As much as I LOVE the jungle feeling in here…it is not going to stay this way.  I need to make sure every plant has enough room to grow thick and full.

BeFunky_033.jpg

I also need to take down the plastic on the walls and ceiling…this will make a huge difference!

014

Yep..everything needs a “haircut” to ensure that it all grows the way I want it to!   Thick, and full!
I was a busy girl that day…pruning and primping…

078

When I was finished…it looked MUCH better.

BeFunky_088.jpg

It smells soooooo good in my greenhouse!  This Alyssum sure is making a big statement with sight and smell!

There are quite a few pretties in here right now.

084

I have room!!!

086

I am so happy that I have space to plant a few more pots now!   I am not done…but there are a few other things I need to do.

011

On Wednesday this is what I was looking at in my back yard.

057

This is what it looks like NOW!

By Thursday afternoon..most of that snow was GONE!!!   YAY!

That means I needed to get my butt in gear!

My yard went from looking like this…

041
045

Packed down and covered in snow mold.

I sure did fix that!

058

With the help of a thatch blade…I managed to fluff and trim and thatch rake the lawn…it sure did green it up!   (well at least the parts that my neighbors huge dogs have not killed…yep…I have a problem.   I do not own a dog…and I have dog pee patches and LOTS of doggie doo doo to pick up…MAN I can’t wait for a fence next month!)

059

It looks SO much better!

048

I LOVE the smell of fresh cut grass…the entire street smells good from my endeavors today!

It won’t be long now…and this yard will go from winter drab to Tootsie style FAB!

This brings us to the end of my flaunt for this week…and YOU know what that means!!!

That means…I can’t wait to see what you have!

Well…what are you waiting for???

GO!!!

Get your flaunt on!!!

I wish all of you hugs and smiles, and safe and happy weekend plans!

Thank you all so much for dropping in today, and to those that faithfully link in to this party…and who are patient while waiting for me to FINALLY visit you…it seems there are not enough hours in a day anymore...THANK YOU!

Until Next Time... Happy Gardening!

It's terrific to see the snow melting and the grass all fluffed up and on show. The greenhouse is looking as if it's bursting at the seams. Enjoy your Spring.

It all looks good. Well done!
A good, humane dog repellant (all animal repellant) is crushed up and powdered moth balls. All creatures don't like the smell, and it lingers much better than "animal peppers". Lasts throughout rainstorms too. You'll get at least a month, two or three if you're lucky, from one moderate sprinkling. See what you think.
Have a nice day.

Your greenhouse looks amazing, ready to burst! I may not have green at home yet but this week I visited WA where there were Tulips Galore!

I was looking at all the pretties in your greenhouse, then BAM! - a picture of snow!!! It just didn't seem possible. Your front lawn looks great now. I didn't realize snow would do strange things to a lawn. Thanks for hosting.

Well that's just horrible that your neighbor lets their dogs do that! We have a leash law in out town so no dogs are allowed to roam but people that walk their dogs still let them do their "business" on people's lawns with picking it up.

Absolutely love your greenhouse!
