Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers May 10/13

Copy_of_001
WELCOME!

Do you know what day it is???

It’s Friday !!!!

Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol)  It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!

Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like.

The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted.

So?????....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

IT’S SPRING IN TOOTSIES GARDENS!
Before I begin today’s flaunt I would like to apologize for not making it around to see everyone who participated last week…I have been overwhelmed with life this last week, and just have not had the time to get there….please forgive me!  I will do my best to get around to you all this week!
The weather has been amazing this last week!!!   I am getting a suntan…ok…burn …but still…I AM OUTSIDE!
001
I started today out by trying to do some repair/ damage control on the lawn in my yard…My neighbors have two huge dogs that have completely destroyed my yard!
I will post more in depth as to how I have done the repairs soon.

003
This photo will give you an idea how large some of the damaged spots are!   That is MY foot!

002
This damage goes all over the yard…yep…I am NOT impressed…I don’t even have a dog and my yard is ruined!   When I did have a dog, she didn’t destroy my yard like this!
I then turned my attention to something I have been wanting to do for a long time!

006
I PLANTED WINDOW BOXES FOR EVERY WINDOW ON MY LITTLE HOUSE!

008
009
I did my best to make them all pretty much the same on the back of the house…which has full sun all day…so Geraniums and Wave Petunias went into them… On the front of the house, I put Geraniums and lobelia and alyssum…it doesn’t get as much hot scorching sunshine as the back yard does!

011
I am super excited to see how they turn out…Next year I will be a bit more prepared for them…I forgot to plan for them for this year…so it was a fly by Tootsie’s seat type of planting today!

012
The front yard lawn is suffering a little too…but not nearly as bad as the back yard.
014
Lookin GREENER every day!

013
My teensy little hedge is getting some leaves!!!   WOOO HOOO!

021
Flower baskets are all hanging out for the night…first time this year for them outside in the dark!!!

019
I brought a few of the greenhouse plants outside for the day and night to begin to harden them off.  I was too tired to bring them all out…so just some are getting some fresh air.
I sure hope no one steals them!
This next few days are going to be busy!!!   We are building a much needed fence!!!  yay!!!  Not only will we have some privacy and a dog barrier…but we will have a bit of a break from the wind too!!!   I feel a flower bed or two coming on!!!

This brings us to the end of my flaunt for this week…and YOU know what that means!!!

That means…I can’t wait to see what you have!
Well…what are you waiting for???

GO!!!

Get your flaunt on!!!

I wish all of you hugs and smiles, and safe and happy weekend plans!

Thank you all so much for dropping in today, and to those that faithfully link in to this party…and who are patient while waiting for me to FINALLY visit you…it seems there are not enough hours in a day anymore...THANK YOU!

Until Next Time... Happy Gardening!

Wow, those two dogs sure do a lot of 'business' in your yard. I'm sure you're so looking forward to having a fence!

Your window boxes will be looking fabulous in no time, and your greenhouse plants are looking fantastic. Can't wait to see all the colour soon.

They sure do Bernie...they didn't do ANY damage to their own yard at all!!! Their yard is in perfect shape...it's all in mine and the rest of the neighborhood!

I just can't imagine how the owners allow the dogs to do that!

Love seeing the progression of plants in your greenhouse to moving them outside and I LOVE your window boxes. thanks for hosting!

Good fences make better neighbors. So many pretties emerging from your greenhouse! Spring is so exciting.

Love those window boxes. Great job and they will be beautiful all bloomed out. Wow I'd be pissed about the yard. They should have their dogs behind a fence. I'm having a problem with my neighbors dog getting out of his fence. Not doing business in yard but he is big and scares the crap out of me when it looks like he is charging towards me. He knows I'm afraid of him. Fencing is on my radar too. Your goods from the greenhouse look like a full fledged nursery. Enormous amount of plants. Can't wait to see them in the gardens.

Great job on your window boxes! They look great and good luck on your fence...I know you'll be happy when that's up. It is just plain rude for those owners to allow their dogs to do that!

All your plants and greenhouse are awesome. I want one:)

Hi Glenda,

Happy Friday! Glad to see that you are getting some of your things out of the greenhouse. Your petunias are beautiful.

The window planters will look lovely when filled in with plants. Too bad about the ruined lawn ... though I might say something a bit stronger that wouldn't be allowed in comments! It just might be fence time.

Another Beth here - curious how you attach those window boxes. I really like them and would like to do the same.
