Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers Oct 4/ 13
WELCOME FRIEND!
Do you know what day it is???
It’s Friday !!!!
Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!
Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!
If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:
If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like.
The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!
You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!
All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted
So?????....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...
As many of you may have noticed, I have had a lot of trouble with my little site here the last week or so. When I went to post the party last week, I realized that I was totally locked out!!! Google messed up HUGE and it nearly cost me everything I have ever posted! It took me all week to finally get everything sorted out and get back up and running…I hope. There are still a few little kinks here and there that I need to iron out, but for the most part at least I can LOAD my site, and thankfully so can you!
In other news…we have had lots of cold wet weather here in my part of Alberta. There has been below freezing temperatures, and even some flakes of SNOW have fallen! Miraculously, my yard still looks pretty darn good for having been through so much dramatic weather! Take a look:
The beds still look GREAT!!! There have been a few casualties in this garden though…
My window boxes have seen much better days. I quit watering last week…I hate pulling things that still look good…lol
I am so amazed that with all the frost we have had, that everything is still so pretty!
I have a few ugly sights to deal with…Coleus does not like cold!
I usually go out every morning right after the frost falls and water it off to save my flowers. This year I have not done this once! It seems the Lobelia in the piano planter does not mind the cool weather.
It was dusk when I took these photos tonight. Just the right time to be able to see the colors POP! I am going to miss my pretty colors after I pull everything. Hopefully I will get time to do that this weekend!
Well….that’s it for me for today…I don’t want to make my post too terribly long…You guys need a chance to share too!!!
What are you waiting for???
GO!!!
Get your flaunt on!!!
You can link as many posts as you like…I don’t mind seeing lots!!!
Thank you all so much for being so patient with me through all of the confusion this week... and to those that faithfully link in to this party…AND who are patient while waiting for me to FINALLY visit you…THANK YOU! I appreciate you more than you know.
Stay tuned for a wonderful post about my meeting with the Mermaid!
Until Next Time... Happy Gardening!

Happy to see you are back!
I can imagine a lot of people in your locality are attracted with your beautiful display of colors! Very tootsie-ish!
I can only imagine the work you had to do to get Tootsie Time back up and running. I for oboe would miss my weekly foes of reading all about your flaunts.
Have a great weekend, you deserve it!
It's great to see that everything is pretty much back to normal. I was really starting to fret that I might never again be able to participate in FF/FYF!!!
Your garden is still looking fabulous despite the frosts and sprinkle of snow. The Lobelia is looking fantastic in your piano planter.
Hi Glenda! Your yard still looks very pretty. Love the bright blue lobelia. How sad to have to pull things already, especially when they look so pretty. I am cutting back my no-longer blooming perennials but hope my annuals will continue for a long while yet.
Theres a lot to see still. Its awesome that the frost hasn't taken everything yet.. You have created a need for more annuals in my garden... Now I need a greenhouse!
Very thankful you got your blog up and running...
Glad to see you are back up and running. I figured something wierd had happened:) Your flowers are still stunning.
Your garden is looking great after frosty mornings!
