a few shots of my garden today....I hope there will be more to come very soon.
Two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.
This could not be more true. Sometimes when we feel threatened or weak, we worry about the past or the future instead of working on TODAY. Today is the most important thing. Live in each moment as if it was your last.
This was in my email box this evening. I had been stressing and pacing and feeling such pressure. I read this and it made PERFECT sense to me.
"There are two days in every week about which we should not worry. Two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.
One of these days is yesterday, with its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.
Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control.
All the money in the world cannot bring back yesterday.
We cannot undo a single act we performed.
We cannot erase a single word we said.
Yesterday is gone!
Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control.
All the money in the world cannot bring back yesterday.
We cannot undo a single act we performed.
We cannot erase a single word we said.
Yesterday is gone!
The other day we should not worry about is tomorrow, with its possible adversities, its burdens, its large promise and poor performance.
Tomorrow is beyond our immediate control.
Tomorrow's sun will rise, whether in a splendor or behind a mask of clouds.
But it will rise, until it does we have no stake in tomorrow, for it is yet unborn.
Tomorrow is beyond our immediate control.
Tomorrow's sun will rise, whether in a splendor or behind a mask of clouds.
But it will rise, until it does we have no stake in tomorrow, for it is yet unborn.
This leaves only one day:
Today.
Any man can fight the battles of just one day.
It is when you and I add the burdens of two awful eternities - yesterday and tomorrow, that we break down.It is not necessarily the experience of today that disturbs one's peace of mind.
It is often time the bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.

Let us therefore live one day at a time.

Thank You Mary. I really needed to see this. I will keep this in mind as my family works through this difficult time.

I don't know the nature of the crisis you're going through, but I don't need to in order to keep you in my prayers and for God to pour out his healing and his blessings. Take care, dearest Glenda.

The past week has been very busy for me. If I'd know that you were adding to your blog, I'd have come running. So now I'm playing catch-up. Thank you for the reflective piece here--very well worth remembering. And I echo the sentiments of those who have commented here. You are a special person who cares and acts. I'm praying for you as you face each of your today's. Hugs, Pam
