I have an owie....and sort of a message

I have a very sore mouth. My broken molar is infected and I am looking like a chip munk with a grouch on today. I have been to the doctor and gotten a script for an anti-biotic...but unfortunately nothing for the pain....so needless to say I am just short of an axe murderer at this point. This is the reason for the post today.
I am a Tootsie that has a horrible bad temper....and in my high school and university days...a violent one too. I have calmed my self down and have matured into a far more gentle soul.....but I am very close to some who are not so gentle....I have tried to say this to those people many times...and have been told that I make no sense. This makes great sense and I thought that since I have nothing else prepared to write about for you all....that I would post this. It serves as a good reminder of how badly words can hurt.
Once you have read it...consider yourself hugged by a cranky Tootsie with a tooth ache....lol
I will see you all soon

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.
The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all.
He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.
The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.
The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, 'You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. But It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound will still be there. A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one. Remember that friends are very rare jewels, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share words of praise and they always want to open their hearts to us.'

Loved the story. My daughter has had tooth pain within the last week too. 800 miligrams of motrin did wonders. Hope you feel better soon.

Oh Tootsie, How much more can you take? A skunk, the quanset hut blowing over the fence, the flu, now an abcessed tooth! You poor baby! I would take that ibuprofen and antibiotic faithfully (if you can) and by tomorrow you should feel a whole lot better! ~ Robyn

Hi Glenda
Oh my that is all sooo true. When someone says, even a family member or a good friend says something spiteful and mean it stays with you. Even when there is much laughter and good times going on that incident can sit there sometimes festing sometimes it just sits there and is remembered. Sometimes it just is hard to put words away.

I find that I try to stay calm and give myself a bit to cool down rather than spitting out words I may resent. On the other hand I think I just don't let a lot of things bother me these days....

What are they going to do about your molar? Thats awful. Ouch...a toothache isn't a nice thing.

I hope you'll have it looked after soon or maybe the antibiotics have kicked in and thats all you'll need.

Feel better soon.

That was such a great story, so you are in so much pain. Thank you for stopping by my blog to help name my flower. My daughter has bought a place that has a lot of old time flowers. I have gotten seeds for different types, there are 3 different types of hydrangea, green, blue, lavender and pink, and an oak leaf hydrangea, I think its called that. The plant dies back to stalks, sort like canna do, but there is no blulb, just the root. I looked the bloom over for seed, nothing I can see, I planted one plant 3 inches tall last year and now the have covered a space of 4 feet x four feet. Last year the did not live this long. Its is so lovely. Thanks for helping to name my plant. Hope you feel better soon.

I live 40 miles North East of Jackson, Mississippi USA out in the country. Plants usually do not boom here at this time, I still have a few roses blooming and well I'm not sure, put maybe sweet william, and my rosemary is blooming like crazy. Cannas have just stopped blooming but leaves are green.

Oh, Tootsie, that's a great story. I'm so sorry about your tooth. I hate toothaches and earaches! I would try to make you laugh, but that wouldn't be a good idea with a toothache sufferer! Here's a virtual hug. I had a root canal a few years ago, and it still bugs me from time to time. Hope the antibiotic works fast.

hey. not feeling any better and in fact it seems to be getting worse! I did start a pain regimine to try to cut it back and it is not even touching it.
Perhaps I should get the pliers out and finish this tooth off once and for all! a dentist won't see me...until the infection is gone...and the infection is killing me...it is in my ear now and down my shoulder.....damn teeth...babies do just fine without them....what the heck!

So sorry to hear about your tooth- I literally feel for you today as I went to the dentist today for a tooth that has been giving me problems. I do hope it is fixed after over and hour in the chair.

This is the 2nd time today I read the nail story- God must know I need a double dose!! I can have a very sharp tongue and with the family still living with us after 4 weeks my tongue is getting very sore from all the biting!

Blessing- feel better soon! Ps sometimes putting a whole clove in your mouth at the area of pain helps-

I loved the story. I really hope you start feeling better soon! I absolutely loved, loved, loved your flower garden! It's what I have always wished mine to look like. Unfortunately, I can't stand weeding and just don't have the time anymore.
