A Collection...or an Addiction.

It started with a need for new canisters to put on my kitchen counter tops. I saw some really pretty ones on an RMS post...and decided that I would like to see something a little different in my kitchen. (I think it was Picket's post ...but can't be sure I did love gazing at her kitchen)
So...I set out to find some pretty ones to use in my new "scheme"....and it was the start of a whole new ball game...
I found that canisters were not really one of the Big things around this area at the time. As usual, I was looking for the one thing that I could not find...seems like the story of my stupid life doesn't it? ie..the crown issue? lol
Well...I found some...and a month later found some more...and again and again...and they were all screaming my name...I just had to have these! These ones are perfect! Oh! look! These are the ones....and a collection has been created...and addiction born. The following are photos of a few of my sets...well at least the ones I am displaying at the moment....
I love these...they are my latest additions...
I took the doors off this cupboard to show off these ones...they say Claire Wilson's...tea, coffee, garlic, potatoes, onions, oil, vinegar, water, cookies , sugar, I love how cute they are!
These are wooden..and say flour sugar and tea on them...
These ones are reversible! The plaid on on the bottom shelf...is actually the back of the ones with the fruit on them...the photo doesn't show them that well...and there are some trays too...
These are full of gum, and other candies that the kids don't need to be aware of ...lol
These are just soooo pretty up close...wish I had a better shot...they are very heavy...
So? Do you like my wire tea pot? I have a smaller one too...tea pots are another collection I have...maybe another day..my greenhouse is peeking through that window too...lol
Well... That's another day for me...Maybe I will post some of the other changes I am making around here soon....so many projects...so little time....(sigh) My wish list of renovations is long...and I intend to try to get some of them done ASAP!

OK Girl now I know why you are tired you been out shopping for canisters sets and Boy have you shopped...I really like the ones that look like ironstone in that cupboard..now what else have you been up to...do tell us girll...hugs and smiles Gloria
They're all so pretty! I've been looking for new canisters but haven't found quite what I want yet, so I'm stuck with the old ones... My DIL got some from Williams Sonoma for her shower that come the closest to what I'd like to have, but I didn't want them labeled. So, I'll keep looking...

Ok, I love teapots, so let's see 'em!

LOVE the cannisters! I've been trying to throw mine away (gift from our wedding) but every time I chuck them, someone feels sorry for them and pulls them back out of the bin. They're not as nice as yours :)

Your kitchen is totally fab! I have serious cannister issues, I can never find those I'm happy with! Yours are great! I love how those are displayed in the cabinet with the doors removed, what a cool idea!

I'm loving the "Claire Wilson's" they are very cute! You know, I haven't shopped for canisters in a while. I had a friend make a set for me from pottery. I love them and I wouldn't have the heart to change them out. Hope you are keeping warm up North - it's only -13 degrees F. with a -30 degrees windchill! ~ Robyn
I don't even know where to begin...Let me start by saying this is my first stroll into your lovely garden. The color of beauty!
I have a weakness for kitchen canisters too, but the wired teapots...where did you find such a treasure?
I've enjoyed my visit and look forward to coming again.

Sweet Wishes,
Sara
