What's Up?

My word of the day is RAIN. Yep...once again it is pouring rain in my neck of the woods. I can't complain too much. It was sunny all weekend long, and I got a lot done in my gardens...but I could live with rain at night and sun during the day much better.
Those weeds aren't pulling themselves now are they???? Mud is not fun to weed in either...so I am stuck inside...cleaning and primping my house, doing laundry...and then there's the huge mess I have made in the garage that needs to be cleaned...so that's where I am...filthy and dirty and busier than a sack of bum holes at a bean eating contest!
I thought I'd give a quick update on my Dad. He is doing well...he went back to the city yesterday with my Mom, and got his staples pulled. He is still not allowed to do any lifting or much of anything...which is causing a lot of complaining...BUT he IS allowed to eat real food again!!! No more mushed up, cream of anything! He is probably at this very moment eating his favorite things...CHEEZIES...and jelly beans while perusing the used car section of the internet...looking for prospects to fix up!
I have such a heavy work this week but I am slowly but surely working my way through the participants for Fertilizer Friday last week...See you soon!
Wink wink to those very special people who lurk in the shadows trying not to be seen! (you know who you are! 8)
hugs from Toots!

Hi Tootsie, glad to hear your Dad is doing well. Actually, I haven't been online since FF the week before last and didn't know he was ill so I guess I jumped right into the good news.
We've been having rainy weather too (record rainy weather) but I like to weed after a good rain cause they come out so much easier. ;-) So I'm a little warped!

I'm so glad your dad is doing better. So what fun things are you doing that you've messed the garage all up? More furniture, etc.? You're always doing something fun to make the world more beautiful!

I'm happy to hear your dad is doing so much better. I have been on the 'soft diet' before and it leaves much to be desired!!

Rain here, too. I try to sneak out into the gardens when I can!! ;-D

Hi Tootsie. That is such good news to hear that your Dad is on the mend.
Knowing you girl you are creating something pretty in the garage. More benches? LOL! Too bad I live so far away or I would be driving up to your house to buy one from you. LOL!

Good News about Dad!!! I was out watering before work this morning and now I see some clouds moving in,a second dose won't hurt. Hummmm, wonder what project is lurking in the garage. Best be pictures soon. I finally got my metal chairs all painted and went with every one a different color. Yep, need more color in the yard!

Hi Tootsie, I've enjoyed visiting your blog! There's so much to see and read about. Your garden is just lovely and those benches . . . wow! They're awesome!

Just have to tell you that I'm an Alberta girl too . . . lived in Edmonton all my life until about 10 years ago when my husband and I moved here to Wisconsin. I still have family and friends there and visit often.

Looking forward to participating in your 'Fertilizer Fridays' and pop over to my garden when you get a chance.

Hugs,
Teresa

It's rained every afternoon here in MS this past week. Of course, it waits to blow up after I sprayed the fence row for weeds. 2 different times even.

Glad your dad is doing much better.

We're still having lots of rain, and hot days. I did get my veggie garden weeded yesterday. The onions needed to get free of the purslane, borage, and dill so they could grow.

I'm glad your dad is on the mend. It's always good when you can eat real food.
