Once again I am here to say WELCOME to all you Bloggers!/ Gardeners!/ Friends!!!! It’s Friday again already and that means it’s time to flaunt our flowers, gardens and all things green!
Now if you are not familiar with the rules of this little party…here they are;
If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!
You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!
All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and a link to Tootise Time, or the linky will be deleted. I don’t mean to be harsh, but there have been a lot of people linking in and when the participants graciously click over to their blogs, there is no sign of Fertilizer Friday anywhere to be found. This is not fair to those who do follow the rules, therefore…well you know!
So? what are you waiting for? Get outside, feed, water, snap and post!
I have been trying to find one little minute to stop in and share what has been going on here in Tootsie’s house and gardens, but it seems that in my world, the clock got a lot smaller!!!
I make 4 trips to school with my children each day…it seems that every two or three hours I have to stop what I am doing and run either pick up or drop off a kid!!! This makes getting things done in a timely fashion rather difficult! I did however manage to get around and visit all of the Fertilizer Friday people last week!!! I am very happy to say that…as I always feel incredibly bad about it if I don’t.
Can you believe it???? It is already October!!!! Seems like we missed summer this year!!!
This week…I don’t have a lot of blooms to share…but I do have a few…I will begin with a current view of my gardens, and finish up with a current view of my greenhouse. This post is not pretty…consider yourselves warned!!!
The killing frosts struck my gardens hard about two weeks ago . All that is left is what you see here.
It sure looks bare…I hate pulling everything. It is all behind the hedge right now. The feud with the yard waste removal guy has officially begun…He took 1o large garbage cans filled with flowers last week, 1o large garbage cans filled with flowers this week…and there are 35 more industrial garbage bags just loaded with flowers waiting to be put into the cans in weeks to come. That garbage man just hates my yard…hahaha…oh well…his issue not mine! hahaha.
The leaves had not started to fall when I took this photo…Today is a different story…but it was too dark to take a photo today when I finally got the chance…so I had to head to the greenhouse…Wanna see????
The Mandevilla vine is growing well inside the greenhouse…in fact it is doing better right now than it has all summer…it’s blooming up a storm!
I thought it was lost…it tipped over three times during storms this summer..and in the early spring, it got touched by frost…it is two years old now.
I am trying my hand at wintering a Gerber Daisy.
I am not sure what is going on here…my Hydrangea has decided to come back to life…but the bloom is not in the right place…it is like it is hiding at soil level…This is one that I got in the spring…and thought it was a gonner!!! I suppose any bloom is a good bloom in this gardener’s world. :)
I like to start new plants in the greenhouse over the summer months…and it looks as if they are all doing well…
Monstera Deliciosa . Growing like a weed all of a sudden in the greenhouse.
Coleus is looking rich…
Wandering Jews are so easy to start…but so pretty!!! (I hate that name)
I feel very proud to announce that I have not killed this fern yet! (I am a notorious fern killer) there are 2 of them in the greenhouse thriving up a storm…for now anyways!
My jade plant that was blooming last summer…didn’t leave the greenhouse since then, maybe that is why she is not blooming this year…Oh well…it’s still alive…and that’s all that matters.
Ahhhh! My little piece of heaven…where I go to just be me…where all the worlds stresses just melt away…my safe haven…my special space. Have I mentioned how I enjoy this greenhouse?
Okay…that is all I have to share this week. I don’t have a clue what the heck I will share next week…but I’ll think of something…and hopefully I will have time to make it work.
Next week I hope to post a few of the projects and special things I have been working on for a couple weeks…when I have a chance…things that are important to the house…a winterizing of sorts…and share some other great news that I have. (If it is time to share it) - but for now I will sign off.
Until next time…hugs and smiles, and wishes for a safe and happy weekend to you all…see you next week!
Oh and don’t worry you three…I didn’t forget you!!! *) *) *) and to one in particular…good luck with your ‘test’! lol MWUAH!

I also planted peas a few weeks ago and they are doing well, again we shall see what tomorrow brings.
I agree, where did summer go??? Our parents were so right that time goes by faster the older you get!
Wishing you and yours a great school year. All mine are out of school now..the last 2 college bound. Not as hectic but still busy! LOL

Love is in the air and my post this week is about hibiscus and grasshoppers. Please be forewarned that it is PG13, lol!
Thank you for hosting!
Is your greenhouse attached to the house? It looks lovely and cosy in there ....no wonder the plants love it!
Your greenhouse sounds like a wonderful place to relax, experiment or hide from the rest of the world.
I have killed a number of ferns myself over the years and just don't bother any more.
Happy Autumn
I told hubby if our house was ever burnt to the ground it would be his fault and check out the trash guys.
Hubby is known for putting all his stinky fish and deer parts in the trash.....
I don't think I need to say more.
What a gorgeous mandevilla! We tried one a couple of years ago. It was a bit tricky but didn't do too bad, though nothing as lovely as yours! We interwove it into a fence though, so when we moved, we couldn't take it with us. I asked my mom if she wanted a new one after we moved but she opted for some new plants. She'd definitely enjoy that photo of yours though! :)
Thanks again for another interesting Fertilize and Flaunt Your Flowers Friday! :)
You and the little ones have a wonderful weekend and we will be looking forward to your show and tell projects.
and a few plants before a freeze. I didn't know a Jade plant had a bloom. Learn something here every time.
