Nope!!! I did not stand one single chance at being serious…not even one! Remember Grampie??? (my dad)
Yep…that’s his silliness on Monday afternoon. He was wearing a pair of silly sunglasses…as he chased my kids all over the farm all day long. (I almost wonder if his eyes actually get silly when he sees a bunch of great junk....Oh!!! who are you laughing at...you know yours do...mine do! :)) hahaha
ya…it got worse…they are not even clean!!! hahahaha!!!
Now picture this guy…zipping all over the place on a quad or bike…with a crazy laugh…having the bestest time playing with his grand kids!
yep…I am sure I had no choice but to grow up silly…hahaha.
On the way home…my son actually looked me in the face and said he is sure glad Grampie showed me how to be a nut…it’s more fun that way!
He hopes to be just like Grampie when he grows up! (oh my…I am a little afraid…hahaha)
At first it was just quads rippin and roarin….
they were having so much fun!!
and then Grampie brought out the best part of my son’s day…(other than Grampie…who is his hero…)
The dirt bike! Grampie fixed it…even little Busy got to ride with her best bud…(she just loves to flirt and tease her Grampie)
See her little smile!!! She is so excited!
There was some high speed chases…
and the tables were turned several times…the chaser became the chasee!!!
Looks like the “Duch” noticed Grampie got the bike out…
I can just see his wheels turning…trying to figure out HOW he was going to get his skinniness onto that bike….
looks like success!!! after a quick lesson in gear shifting…
and some proud posing…
it was ON!
Then “Georgie” moved up…to a bigger quad…far cry from how scared to even ride she was before!
My Dad played all day long. If he wasn’t chasing the gang…they were chasing him…it was a very good day for them all. Me and Grammie did a little junkin…and I plan to share the fruits of that adventure in a day or two!
Thanks Grampie for all the fun today…the gang talked about it all day long…they loved playing with you…and say you are the funnest Grampie ever…
Oh…and I am NOT thanking Grammie for giving my girls each a pair of high heel shoes to wear all over the place…nope!!! not gonna happen…the clunking around the house alone is enough to make me cranky!!! Good thing I got the silly gene…right?
Okay…until next time…hugs and smiles…and to my three winks…I just love how you love me so…It just makes my heart pitter pat…that you can’t get me outta your heads! *) *) *) (you know who you are!)

Oh, what wonderful memories everyone will have of this day! What a sweetheart your dad is! I was grinning just reading along and the pictures are priceless. Thank you for the smiles!
Tootsie, I loved the photo's. Your Dad must be a real treasure.
I lost all my photo's of my Dad and family in the fire with
"Andrew " The insurance can't replace your life.

These are great memories ya'll are making for your children...I'm glad to see them behaving so carefree...refreshing.
Sounds like an absolutely perfect day! You do know how to enjoy life!
You have such a great Dad (and Mom). How sweet they are. And lucky you and the kids are!
Will be out the rest of the week for my big horse show. Will have a lot of catching up to do next week.
Thanks for the giggle! What a wonderful family you have!!

Tootsie, it looks like you and the kids had a great time. Everyone needs this kind of a break.

Hi,
I was just looking over on something and got your address. Liked your writings very much.
And about this post these are all awesome memories. :)
What a great Grampie!!
Hi Tootsie, you and your kids are very very lucky they still have Grampie and Gramie when they are growing up. That is a very expensive treasure they will carry to their own deathbed. And am sure the oldies will strengthen their lives because of happiness too. What a wholesome family. Congratulations.
What a great post Tootsie - it had me grinning away as I read it!
We might not have quad bikes, but I reckon my dad and your dad must be related somewhere along the line as that's exactly the daft sort of thing he did when my girls were little :D
How blessed your family is and I want a pair of those glasses!
My father in law had the crazy gene. He would act like a monkey in the middle of the most crowded places and our sons loved it.
He was just plain silly.
Looks like great fun was had by all. That is so nice that your dad spends a lot of time with your kids. Those are the times they will remember always.
Awe, this is just too precious!! Just came by to say hi and I'm thinking about you. I miss my Tootsie!
Hugs~ J
