Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers Oct 22/10

Copy_of_001

Once again I am here to say WELCOME to all you Bloggers!/ Gardeners!/ Friends!!!! It’s Friday again already and that means it’s time to flaunt our flowers, gardens and all things green!

Now if you are not familiar with the rules of this little party…here they are;

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and a link to Tootise Time, or the linky will be deleted. I don’t mean to be harsh, but there have been a lot of people linking in and when the participants graciously click over to their blogs, there is no sign of Fertilizer Friday anywhere to be found. This is not fair to those who do follow the rules, therefore…well you know!

So? what are you waiting for? Get outside, feed, water, snap and post!

….and it was another crazy busy week here in my house…but I did get quite a few things done ! I managed to find a few minutes a day to get to reply and visit to almost all of my comments for the whole week!!! I have been working my little fingers to the bone, attending hockey parent meetings, practices and getting organized for all sorts of things. I have to say that it is almost a relief that this week I didn’t have much yard work to take care of, as I am just sooooo tired!

I thought I’d give a little peek at what things are looking like here this week….

122

It is definitely fall here…things on the outside are looking very spare.

154

Well except for the number of leaves…these arrived on the grass not 2 minutes after I mowed the grass and picked up 10 cans of them!!! grrrr

155

Lets move into the sunroom…where the Christmas Cactus is starting to bloom…again…it never seems to have a calendar the same as ours…haha…I don’t care when it blooms…just so long as it does!

152

Out in the greenhouse…

141

The Geraniums have decided to join in the blooming party with the Mandeville…

143

HOT pink.

142

Screaming Bright ORANGE.

140

All of the plants seem happy enough considering there were a few spider mites and a couple aphids that made their way in…I am glad I caught it in time…things are under control now. (I hope)

150

I saved those huge Hydrangea blooms from this summer…they are dried nicely…and I need to find somewhere…

151

as pretty as this to show them off…

Well…that is all for me this week…I am looking forward to having a few minutes here and a few minutes there to pop in and see who links up and what they are sharing! I mean…seriously, I have only had about 1/2 hour a day to play on my computer…I have been very busy!~

I am working hard towards an announcement for you all, but don’t want to spill that little secret until the time is just right…so stay tuned!!!

So…until next time…hugs and smiles, wishes for a very happy and safe weekend to all my faithful followers.

I have those very special three who always need a special little shout out…*) *) *)…don’t forget to wear your grips, and tread lightly, you might just slip and fall! You know who you are!

I love how your sunroom looks with all of your plants. Your houseplants always look so healthy. Seeing a picture of your Christmas cactus reminded me to go check on mine, it's usually pretty withered up before I remember to water it :)

My MIL spray paints the dried hydrangea blooms gold and silver and used them in her XMAS decorations.

Pretty Christmas Cactus. I am thinking I should bring mine all in soon. They are outside right now because they grow well out there during the Summer months. Last year I waited to long and they got bit by the frost. They survived just lost all their growth and no blooms)-: This year I am going to bring them in sooner(-: I have a yellow one I have never seen bloom yet. I hope it does.
