Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers Jan. 28/11

Copy_of_001

Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!! Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

Before we begin I feel that I need to re-state the pre-requisites for this little party. There isn’t that much, but it seems there has been some confusion amongst a few participants.

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?” Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootise Time, or the linky will be deleted. I don’t mean to be harsh, but there have been a lot of people linking in and when the participants graciously click over to their blogs, there is no sign of Fertilizer Friday anywhere to be found. This is not fair to those who do follow the rules, therefore…well you know!

So? what are you waiting for? Get outside, feed, water, snap and post!

It has been quite warm here in Alberta this week!!! We have gone from –30C a week or two ago…all the way up to +7C! It is like t-shirt and shorts weather!!! hahaha…not really, but it does feel warm!

I can’t wait for spring..I have the urge to go junkin for more of the good stuff like this:

080

I want to make more fun projects like this:

002

Or this:

049

Until spring arrives I will work in my greenhouse and plan for that time!

My seeds STILL have not arrived…and I am dying to get my hands on them…especially since I won a seedkeeper from the gardenchat last week! I will for sure be posting on that when it arrives!

It has been just so very busy here again, that I find myself asking where the week went, but pleased that I have managed to answer to almost all of the comments I have been getting!!! I do appreciate my followers very much! In fact, last I looked I had 500 of you wonderful people, and I am very pleased! I am planning a give away to celebrate you all!

That’s it for me for this week!!! I hope that next week I have some seeds to share! If you have time, plesase pop over and visit all the participants of the party today, and don’t forget to put your name in the linky!!!

I also hope you had the chance to see the post below…the podcast I did, has gone live! Thanks to all who took the time to listen to me babble and have left such sweet comments!

Until next week, hugs and smiles and wishes for a safe and happy weekend!!! See you next time!!!

*)*)*) to you three…You didn’t think you could hide did ya? lol I am so glad to see you enjoyed that podcast so many times!!! It’s nice to know you are so proud to be my winks!

Can you believe I made it.... of course I had to use a photo from a previous post but I think it was well worth it!

Hello Glenda
Looking at colourful flowers from the participants and seed catalogues sure helps the winter pass.
Love how you repurposed the red BBQ.

I love your projects. I'm also a garden "repurposer." A fairly local metal scrapyard used to allow pickers to go through the piles, and I pulled lots of stuff out to use in my garden. My favorite find was a 1950s aluminum Coca-Cola cooler. No lid, but it makes a fabulous planter. Unfortunately someone got injured and they don't allow picking any more. Sniff. Just have to find someplace else...

If you and I went junkin' together we'd need a tractor trailer to haul it all back on.

As always anything you do is wonderful! So good to be back. By the way I tried going to Eileens (Gatsbys Gardens)and couldn't bring it up and then couldn't leave a comment on Brooke's Country Moms site. What am I doing wrong? LOL

Hi Tootsie, couldn't link up this week because I have no flowers to flaunt right now (unless you count pine trees, ha!) but I just wanted to drop in and congratulate you again on your podcast. And you know what? I couldn't detect a Canadian accent at all! Maybe all of us more northerly people sound alike? Stay warm!!

I love your projects. How do you manage to make junk look so good!? I've been wanting to paint my wheelbarrow blue and turn it into a container for flowering plants, but it is always being used!
Your fotos look sooo goood.
