THEIF!!! And THEY ARE STEATLING FROM YOU!

There is a blog is made up of all of OUR POSTS!
Take a look! There are posts there from Darla, me....and LOTS of you guys!
What an outrage!
I am not posting the url for the blog as they may be making big bucks from us clicking freely...but if you are interested in knowing what the address is....let me know...I will send it along to you

There is a way to disable right click on your blog. If you would like my instructions on doing this, let me know. This will make it so that no one can copy and paste our blog articles!
It might make using logos and blog buttons difficult.

We all need to be vigilant in watching out for blogs that commit this fraud...it is horrible and shameful!

All my comments are moderated and no one will have private information published...just to reassure you!

I am working on a very fun home project as we speak...and will post as soon as I can...at least part of it!
until next time...hugs and smiles!

I also read about this somewhere else & that person reported them. Maybe we should do that as well.

Why oh why do these types of sites keep popping up stealing posts from other blogs. I've dealt with other sites that have stolen my content. I'll be looking this one over too. Thanks for the heads up.

The guy could be a student, trying to compile something for good use... I don't know, but again due credit should be given to the original author. The guy should seek permission.... yeap.

Oh Tootsie ~ I'm so sorry that this has happened to you and Darla. I wrote to Darla earlier to see if I have been visited by the thief, I'm waiting to hear back. It is really sad and downright evil that people think they can get away with stealing our hardworked posts and calling it their own work. Disgusting and shameful.

Hi Tootsie..
I once found my entire blog on someone under someone else's name and it frightened me to death. It during the first year I began blogging and it scared me to death.
I think I may have talked about it in one of my posts but didn't have many people coming by at that time if I remember right. Eventually I let it go.
But it was an awful feeling.
I would definitely like to know how to stop this...and I can't help wondering WHY someone would do that!
I also would like to know the name of the blog that is doing such a thing.
It was a woman, I remember, that did it when I found mine. She posted some sort of strange explanation on her sidebar but I cannot recall what it said but something like "if you find your blog here, you should be flattered..." etc. etc. I only recall it was an odd feeling!
Please tell me how I can protect my posts..and thank you for taking the time to help others with this thievery.
Actually, that is why I stopped writting my stories...I think things were being stolen.
Hugs,
Mona

My daughter actually had her daughter's face and pictures stolen and were posted on a blog as being their kid! This is why she went private and I don't post the best pictures she takes of Savannah. It infuriated us that someone would say our little Savannah was their's! Also some other freaky things were going on so she went private.

I'm sorry someone stole your pictures. I just don't understand these types of people. Smart idea to make it so no one can copy your pictures but it makes it hard for those of us who like to keep them for inspiration. Oh well, maybe we can still print them out on our computers and keep a file for inspiration. I'm excited to see your new home project!

Seems there is always someone trying to get through life using shortcuts and others' ideas. I share your disgust Glenda!

If they were horse thieves...here in Texas we'd hang 'em! Is hanging still legal, 'cause anyone who would steal thoughts should be hung by the very fingers they use to cut and paste with!
I'd like the URL if you don't mind. debdann@att.net

A friend sent me your link and I would love it if you could show me how to disable the "right click" since I have a few family photos on mine. I would appreciate their URL too. I want to see what's going on. I don't understand what they could get out of it. Thanks.

There can be no excuse for stealing other people's intellectual property ... and I'm sure these people come up with some great excuses! Sorry to hear about your plight. I can only imagine the shock and surprise you must have felt ... it's downright rude and wrong.

I, for one, wouldn't mind some information about how to disable right-click ... that seems like a great place to start dealing with this pilfering.

This is shocking to hear. I would love to get the directions on how to disable the right click, so no one can copy mine, thanks. Also the URL of this site to make sure my friends and I are not there. Thanks for posting this Tootsie =)

They must have no life of their own if they feel compelled to steal ours.

I've never seen one of these sights - - - but I have heard of them.

Thank you so much for bringing our attention to it.

Dear Tootsie,
Could you please send me the link and then how to disable the right click...I am concerned that since my first blog is about my Daughters journey with cancer and then her death that someone might try to lift the pictures and try to say, she is their's and raise false money for themselves and if that happened they would be prosecuted...I feel for the lady who someone took their daughters picture and said she was their daughter---that is creepy scarey
THANK YOU for telling us and how on earth would someone be getting paid by clicking onto their blog........
Hugs
Simply Debbie

Thanks for the right click info Tootsie. Unfortunately that won't always stop someone from stealing posts. They can get it from your feed, or just by doing a copy and paste.

Some good info to know is ...
1. to always put your name on your images in a place that is hard to remove
2. if you on Blogger only allow the shortened version of your feed, that way they won't get the whole post
3. add a blurb to your feed that states © belongs to you
4. report the stolen posts to Blogger
5. if possible, keep pestering the place that stole your feed and eventually they will take it down

This is really disturbing!! Being fairly new to blogging, it makes me wonder how to know when your posts and photos are being used? Please send me the link and instructions for disabling right click :)
