Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!! Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!
Before we begin I feel that I need to re-state the pre-requisites for this little party. There isn’t that much, but it seems there has been some confusion amongst a few participants.
If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?” Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:
If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!
You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!
All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted. I don’t mean to be harsh, but there have been a lot of people linking in and when the participants graciously click over to their blogs, there is no sign of Fertilizer Friday anywhere to be found. This is not fair to those who do follow the rules, therefore…well you know!
So? what are you waiting for? Get outside, feed, water, snap and post!
The weather here has left a LOT to be desired. It has just now stopped snowing…ugh. It was the first day of spring this week, but by the amount of snow we have shovelled…you’d never suspect it was!
I think it is going to be a LONG time before we see any soil or grass in this yard!
Are you ready to see what’s happening in my greenhouse since the last time I shared it? BUCKLE UP KIDS….it might be winter outside, but you are about to get a little taste of spring!
The shelves are ‘greening up’
Almost every tray has at least one little plant sprouting up…
… except the 10 trays of Marigolds I planted yesterday…give them a couple days…they will be all popping out too!
Here’s a little of what IS growing in my greenhouse right now:
Banana
My Hydrangea is just blooming!!! It isn’t like the normal balls of flowers though…
They are so pretty to look at…the bright color just screams spring!
They are so delicate and detailed….
…and LOOK! There’s another set of buds!!!! okay, enough with them…there’s a lot more to share!
The Dahlias are up.
Alternanthera (purple knight)
Bacopa is doing great!
Coleus…
Datura…
Dianthus are looking great!
Dusty Miller is just starting to sprout!
Osteospermum…
Pansy’s are growing like weeds!
Passion Flower- first time from seed…I’m soooo excited!
Petunia’s are doing great and are ready to transplant…
Straw Flower!
Thymophylla—another first timer for me!!! I can’t wait to see how they will do here.
…and last but not least…the Geraniums are doing great!!!
This coming week I am hoping to find time to finish the planting of the lobelia, alyssum, snap dragons, portulaca and maybe a few others….and then…
…stuff these hanging baskets! That empty space behind the pots will be loaded…there will be no space wasted when I am finished!
I need to hang my ‘shade’ in the greenhouse so that the plants on the top shelf don’t burn… But until I find some time to do that…I will just settle for checking in on what you are flaunting! Get moving…A Toots needs to see!
Thanks to all for stopping by this week, linking into my party, and for all the kind comments! Here’s to a safe and happy weekend with friends and family!
Until Monday…when I share my latest interior endeavor…happy gardening!

Wow! You have so much stuff popping up! I didn't realize you grew Dahlias from seed, I do too. I always get a great variety.
It won't be long before all the snow is gone.
Wow! That greenhouse is beautiful. The snow not so much when Spring should have been here! LOL! I know I live in Colorado!
My goodness, you are quite the gardener. Your photos are fabulous, too. I'm Maureen. Stopped in from Friendly Friday, looking forward to our following and hope you'll enjoy my blog as well.

Never seen pink hydrangea before, they are lovely! Tour seedlings are growing so healthy while waiting for Spring to come full blown.
Tootsie, I don't know how you keep up with all of those plantings. I only have a few things going and know how much careful watching they take. Have a great weekend.

Oh I love your greenhouse! I want one but it probably won't happen for some time. Our problem is not with snow but with heat :)

Hate that snow, but your green houses are amazing promises of good things to come!
You have enough variety there to start a garden nursery! Great job at propagating seeds.
Rosie
I cannot believe the amount of snow you have! Wow! Thanks for linking up at Fresh Clean and Pure Fridays! I'm all linked up here too with a link and button back to your hop on my post! You have the most incredible greenhouse! I'm so jealous!!!!
Hopefully the snow will be gone in a few days and spring will come to your yard. You have so much going on in that space of yours. Ten trays of marigolds - wow. Your gardens will be popping again this year. Absolutely love the dainty hydrangea. Have a good weekend Tootsie.
I'm a new follower. Hope you'll stop by my blog for a visit!
We had a cold front come into MS. It only dropped the temp by 10-15 degrees. Thank goodness no snow.
The only thing I have planted is shallots and garlic. They are sprouting!
It's so nice to see flowers growing again. I am definitely ready for spring. Have a great weekend. I'm visiting from the Friday Follow blog hop. Congrats on being featured.

It's hard to believe anyone still has snow,, it's been in the 80's here....
You will be ready for spring with all your seedlings..
Happy Spring...
Sandy
Hi Tootsie, Your greenhouse is full of beauty! I really love the hydrangeas. Take comfort, spring will come eventually.
Blessings, Beth
Hi Tootsie, Somehow my link (Beyond The Garden Gate) disappeared, so I re-linked. It does have your logo and a link to Tootsie Time in it so not sure why it disappeared. If I have done something incorrectly, please let me know.
Blessings, Beth
Oh, your greenhouse is so awesome! Yes, I am a bit envious! This really has been a long winter. Our temps have dropped down to the low 20's and snow has been threatening to fall.
Glenda, the plants look fantastic, the geraniums are just huggable, aren't they? I love their tiny leaves, so perfect. I have never tried bacopa, yours look so healthy, is that multi-pelleted seed? We haven't put our hoop house up yet and I have about 2000 seeds to plant, too. We were going to put it up this weekend, but there's too much snow. I am going to have to settle for enjoying your greenhouse this week. Thanks for letting me join FF even though there's nothing blooming!
I cannot wait until it gets warm enough to strat my garden! Great blog and thanks for sharing the photos- newest follower from the Fri follow- www.classifiedmom.com

Wow, that's lots of lovely plants just waiting to be planted outside. I'd love to have a greenhouse like yours but I haven't had the best of luck growing things from seeds. I'm hoping this year will be different as I've sowed many new seeds in the last week.
That's a lot of seed babies Glenda! No wonder your garden is so beautiful every summer. Hope the snow disappears soon for you. Happy gardening!
Hi Tootsie
Our spring isn't here either...we had some snow last week..its clear and sunny and the snow is just about gone...but its brrrrrrrr...
Your greenhouse is having lovely plants in spite of it all...wonderful. I bet you can't wait to start planting and to get rid of that snow!
Have a wonderful rest of the weekend.
Judi
Everything is looking good (well, except you can keep that snow LOL! I always wait in anticipation for your hard work to show up in full bloom!
I linked a few shots of my spring azaleas. It's not much but they're so pretty down here this time of year.
