Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers April 15/11

Copy_of_001

Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!

Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together , snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?” Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootise Time, or the linky will be deleted. I don’t mean to be harsh, but there have been a lot of people linking in and when the participants graciously click over to their blogs, there is no sign of Fertilizer Friday anywhere to be found. This is not fair to those who do follow the rules, therefore…well you know!

So? what are you waiting for? Get outside, feed, water, snap and post!

It was a busy week here in Central Alberta…as usual. The sun was out and we were all so happy to see the snow slowly burning off and disappearing. It was wonderful to see spring finally coming to our area.

The grass was showing through and we were almost ready to pull out the rakes and try to deal with the patches of snow mold that are left on the lawn…when…

021

….THIS HAPPENED!!!! Sad smile Sad smile Sad smile

Yep! A spring storm hit us and overnight we got more SNOW! (yep…I said the ‘S’ word!) Hopefully it stops snowing soon…and melts off so we can get back to playing in the mud and driving fast through the puddles!

I didn’t get much time in the greenhouse except to water, as there was a lot of other chores and things to tend to…but I did take a few shots of the progress my flowers are making.

001

I absolutely love seeing the shelves full of green leaves and new growth!

002

I have more blooms!!! This one is a purple wave petunia.

003

This is a blue wave petunia…

I think it’s funny how they call hot pink –purple…and royal purple…blue…but hey…that’s the way it is!

That is all that is new with me…so I am ready to get to the good part! I want to see what you are flaunting this week!!! Inspire me!!! Dazzle me!!! I just can’t wait to see!!!

I’m ready to visit…so link in and share!!! See you there! Thank you all for linking in…and leaving a comment!

Until next time, hugs and smiles…wishes of a safe and happy weekend with friends and family….and of course…happy gardening!

*)*)*)…to those fabulous three who give my life such a great charge! You know who you are!!! luv to luv ya!

The greenhouse looks so alive. We are having the craziest weather in WV. Was in the 80s and than in the 30s.

Your greenhouse is getting crowded. How wonderful! I like your new linky.

Oh, no, SNOW??? The best way I know to survive it is to go into your greenhouse, close the door, and breathe. Your plants look beautiful, as always.

Wow, it all looks so great! Still envying that wonderful greenhouse of yours. I hate when my seedling get to the point that they really should be in natural light but it's too cold outside. That's kind of where we are now. but at least it hasn't snowed in a bit. I would just duck into my green house and pretend i am on a tropical island if I were you. snow...yuck. so tired of it. hope it warms up soon.

Your greenhouse looks so green and full ♥ Hoping you are able to get out in the mud soon! I know how itchy they can get ;)

Bummer about the snow! But your plants are doing great. And flowering already!

Hey, for once, I have my post ready as soon as you posted. I'm not often early.

Oh how frustrating! How glad you will be to see the end of snow this year! Your greenhouse is just bursting at the seams though, so I think I'd be spending any spare moment I had in there!

The beautiful occupants of your greenhouse is yelling, "we wanna get outside and have fun under the sun!"

I think the folks that name those petunia colors must be colorblind-LOL!!
Am I seeing right--do you use vertical blinds inside your greenhouse? If so---very very clever! When I used to have a small greenhouse, I hung "sheers" from the ceiling to cut down on the sun. It worked okay, but blinds would be better!

Yeay! My favourite flower - petunias are blooming again in your garden! Love that blue one!

Oh my goodness, sure hope that snow vanishes soon. Thank goodness for the greenhouse.

Hi Tootsie, I always enjoy seeing your greenhouse. Your flowers look so abundant and so healthy. I would be interested to know how many seeds you plant each year. Tootsie, it is nice to see your inlinkz with pictures this morning. I like seeing a preview pic!
Blessings, Beth

Sorry to hear more snow in your area. This is my first time to attend this meme, and I have seen the posts in other blogs. Thanks for hosting this great meme!

Your green house is very impressive. I think this is the great way to have a gardening winter for the folks in the norther part. I love waving petunia. They did fine for me during our winter (I am in south Florida), but now they are all wilting away with the 80+ temperature.

umm...I have no idea what that picture is on my link....lol. Anyway, I linked up.

Also, did you see my post? The Genius left for Korea Tuesday. The Army says she will be there for 18 months....sigh.

I love planting and taking care of my flowers

I do have an Easter Lily my neighbor gave me because my best friend my little pug Sissy died last Sunday.

Pretty blooms. Darnit on the snow. Enough already - right. Maybe this week you'll be able to get some more done. Have a nice weekend. Love Becca

I love seeing your greenhouse full of all those pretty green plants. I love that petunias are already blooming in there. Sorry about the snow. Our weather has been close to 10 degrees below normal for many weeks and so much rain the ground is mud. Hope sun finds it's way to both of us.
I finally remembered to join in again, I've been so busy with life I lose track of what day of the week it is :)

Oh, my! So sorry to see the snow! I hope it melts quickly and you are able to find some real signs of spring in your garden. It is in full swing here and I am loving it! At least you have the greenhouse! It must be wonderful to go in there, smell the lusciousness of new growth, and know that your garden is there, just waiting for warm weather. ~~Rhonda

Hi Glenda, oh, NO, not more snow??! Oh, how annoying. I hear we're in for some more too, and I know it's not unusual, but still....enough already.

Your greenhouse is amazing! I posted a few pics of my puny petunias, wow, do mine have a LONG way to go to catch up to yours. That reminds me, I better go and mix up some fertilizer. Hope you have a great weekend and thank you for hosting the FF!

Thank you for your nice comment and becoming a follower. All those LOL's.... did you read my Valentine's post about me thinking it meant lots of love?? It got me in lots of trouble. I have lots of fun gardeny posts. I don't have a lot of focus right now to unravel how to properly send you my garden pictures. Keep up, and I'll figure it out down the road. We are in High Def Spring right now in North Carolina. You should see my Lady Banks. It is singing!
Best,
Liz

Is this just the weirdest weather? I am feeling GREAT though about my new tiny garden here in California...tons of roses are blooming and I cut and brought some inside. I just got back from Paris and featured my favorite spot there...Monceau Fleurs. Other than that I am intimidated by your gardening skills! Following you!
