Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers June 3/11

Copy_of_001

Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!

Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together , snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?” Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootise Time, or the linky will be deleted. I don’t mean to be harsh, but there have been a lot of people linking in and when the participants graciously click over to their blogs, there is no sign of Fertilizer Friday anywhere to be found. This is not fair to those who do follow the rules, therefore…well you know!

So? what are you waiting for? Get outside, feed, water, snap and post!

How was everyone’s week? I hope you are all having a great time in your gardens! I have been running my butt off all week- planting this…moving that around…driving, parenting, cleaning, cooking….you know…the usual…only more. haha

I have that sore right arm that is driving me nuts! I can barely use it anymore…guess it’s time to get that fixed….then there’s the left middle finger that I tried to cut off….THESE LIMBS ARE SLOWING ME DOWN DARN IT! ha-ha

Can you believe we had frost not one but two nights this week????

Now…I don’t have the greatest photos this week, as my camera is slowly quickly crapping out on me …probably from being used so much the last few years…but here is what I have this week:

032

The vine on the front is finally leafing out…I got to trim and tie it up last weekend.

030

The ornamental apple is in full bloom…the blooms never last long enough.

028

I love these…they are cute in blue…

027

…and in pink…I love the blue best though…Princess

024

This is the first Marigold with this color combo that I have seen this year…sorry for the photo quality…that is the best I could get!! ugh.

017

I decided to build my flower tower again this year. I can’t wait to see how it looks all grown…

018

All the beds are planted…every flower got a home…not one left over! I am so glad it is done..but I already miss the fullness in the greenhouse!

015

I look forward to seeing the frost damage grown out…and the beds be full of colorful blooms…this waiting is killing me!

014

I suppose I could take the edge off by taking a peek at what you guys are flaunting!!!

Lets get busy!!!

So…without further delay…I wish you all safe and happy weekend…hugs and smiles. Thanks to all who stopped in and to those who linked up this and last week. I made it around to a few comments…but not all before free time ran out. This week I hope to catch a few more!

I have a few projects to share next week…so stay tuned. Arm and time permitting…I’ll be here with bell on!

Until next time…happy gardening!

*)*)*) to my very special three! And To one in particular….Remember….Be nice to others because: Time WILL make a difference!"
One day you will no longer be the big dog... just the old dog....and it's nice to be surrounded by friends, Karma is always just around the corner! mwuah!

Hi Tootsie... I know what you mean about missing the fullness of the greenhouse... I miss it too, although we still have some things (actually quite a few) to get into the ground. There is definitely something special about a greenhouse brim full of little plants in bloom... Love it!! Have a great week... Larry

We have had rain rain and more rain for a while now. Which is really nice but still the flowers are really in need of some sunshine(-:

Your ornamental apple tree would be my top favorite. I wonder if it is infested with bees and butterflies. Butterflies are all over my cosmos these days. That is what I am sharing today.

Yikes, frost in your area. None down in my part of Ontario, though the night temperatures did dip down a bit. I hope there wasn't a lot of damage to your plants. The flower tower looks great and will be wonderful when the plants grow more. Have a great weekend.

The grill is awesome. Looks like it got fresh paint. Sorry 'bout the cold but we're too hot girl. Oh the extremes. Your landscaping is so pretty and love the front door and your porch. Neat way to do the containers. I'll have to try that.

Tootsie, your porch is stunning. Everything here in Alabama is wilting in the heat, so I have nothing to share this week. I can't wait to see your projects!

My greenhouse is chock full of tomatoes and they will stay there to prevent any blight issues. My baskets are finally out but forgot to take some photos, next week.
I cant wait to see your flowers fill in.

Hi Tootsie
Unpredicatable weather right across Canada but at least we're having a stetch of good things right now.
I like your porch and the tower of pots.

Wow! So many ideas!!! I'm going to try the Flower Tower. I've never had an interest on gardening, but I've been sick for over a year and now I'm home a lot and now starting to enjoy everything related to plants, decorating my home and blogging!
Thanks!
