Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers Oct. 26/12

Copy_of_001
GET READY!!!! IT IS FRIDAY!!! FRIDAY IS FLAUNTING DAY!!! I am so glad you stopped by!
Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!! Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!
If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:
If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing! You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly! All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted.
So....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...
So I have a few things to share this week…and to anyone who would like…I have about 12 inches of snow all over my yard!   I am less than enthused by this little event…I could have waited another month or more for that to happen…ya…winter is NOT my favorite time of year.
Our house is as busy as usual…but I did manage to get a few pics of the almost cleaned up greenhouse to share with you guys today!  I am having a hard time getting around to visit still…time is always an issue for me…and with my computer slowly but surely crapping out on me lately…it seems to take forever to get anything done at all anymore.  I am hoping to get a new one very soon…that way I will be able to zip all over blogland and visit with you all!  When it takes forever to load anything, it makes it hard to pop over!  Be patient…I will eventually get my schedule sorted out!  In the meantime…I want to say how much I appreciate all of you for joining in this week and every week…in spite of my tardiness!
Enough with the chatter…LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED!
This week I will flaunt:
DSCN5937
There is a lot “growing on” in my greenhouse right now…This little room is LOADED with some of my favorite things!
DSCN5923
I also am wintering some of my mom’s favorite things…and those of a good friend!  Those two HUGE Bacopa baskets…and let me tell you they are HUGE…are happily blooming up a storm for me right now.
DSCN5946
They are Grammie’s pots…and she is hoping to keep them for next spring…I am going to have to cut them back…or I won’t be able to plant!  ha ha!!!  they are enormous!
DSCN5922
I sure love them…perhaps they “won’t make it”  ha ha…and she will have to get new ones…
DSCN5931
My tropicals are doing great!
DSCN5948
The variegated spider plant is getting all “grabby” with lots of arms fill of new little plantlets!  I don’t often go into the house without some little piece of that plant in my hair somewhere!
DSCN5926
This Geranium doesn’t seem to care that it is snowing…it’s in full bloom!
DSCN5927
Another Geranium and some Coleus…I pinched the bloom buds off the Coleus…the blooms from that plant never did anything for me…ha ha!
DSCN5943
All of my Christmas Cacti are getting ready to bloom again…for the 5th time this year…so much for Christmas hey???  ha ha!
DSCN5936
The cactus seed…you know…the package that came with a rogue carrot seed mixed in…well…the cacti are doing great…so is the carrot…now…I am asking you guys…if I transplant that carrot…will it stay alive?  I’d like to see how long I can grow this carrot…It could be OUR little experiment…advise me!!!
DSCN5960
On the outside…I am growing a giant icicle…does that count???
Okay kids…that is all for me for this week…now it is your turn.,,,
What are you waiting for??? Get flaunting!
I wish all of you hugs and smiles, and safe and happy weekend plans! Thank you all so much for dropping in today, and to those that faithfully link in to this party…and who are patient while waiting for me to finally visit you…THANK YOU!
Until Next Time... Happy Gardening!

Oh I don't want to see that white stuff yet...we are getting the cold but hopefully no white. Love the bacopa and warm greenhouse. My Christmas cactus is in full bloom at work...very strange. I bet if you transplant the carrot into a deep pot and water it well for a while it will survive.

Really Tootsie... snow, ice? Unbelieveable, although you folks have just sent us a cold front a couple hours ago... high yesterday of 75... tomorrow a windy 45... lows of 26 degrees... golly thanks for this!!! How I envy your all seasons greenhouse so full of beauty! Take care! Larry

Everything looks wonderful ! Both of my Christmas cactus are forming buds to bloom soon one of them is 20 years old . My Geraniums are doing well as I brought them in the house after I pruned them re potted and sprayed them for bugs . I would love to have a green house like yours one day ! The weather here has been summer like the past few days so far but I know the snow will fly here soon ! Have a good day ! !

Hi Glenda, Your greenhouse is lovely. I enjoyed seeing all of your plants, but especially the geranium and the rogue carrot. The coleus and bacopa are gorgeous too. Sorry to see the ice and snow. I am not too fond of winter weather either.

I can't imagine snow and cold so soon. Your indoor plants do not seem to mind that 'Baby, it's cold outside.'

Your Christmas Cactus is farther along in bud than mine, must be because you are farther north.

When I went out to cut off my mister and fan, a little peeper frog was resting on a branch of a newly rooted Christmas cactus cutting.

It seems so odd to see snow now, but you are probably accustomed to it. Your greenhouse seems warm enough to accommodate a variety of plants...they look very healthy and happy. Thank you for hosting!

Well, you can send your snow MY way-I'll take it. We moved to Michigan for the snow and it's been downright "tropical" lately.
Love all your greenhouse goodies. What a heavenly place to spend time.

You have snow already Glenda? It is hard to transition from all those beautiful tropical plants to an icicle and snow! Your greenhouse is the place to be right now. Thank you for hosting.

Although I have had snow and freezing temperatures. Sitting in your greenhouse with a cup of tea, I would like to. With all the flowers around me. A small jungle in the middle of the snow. Computers are good but a misery my being broken. My geraniums in full bloom in my window. I wish you a nice Sunday.

I bet it smells divine in your greenhouse, those are the biggest bacopa I have ever seen. Don't know about transplanting the carrot, I do know they will grow forever..if you plan on eating it it's going to get real tough.
