Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers Feb. 8/ 13

Copy_of_001

PSSSST!

Hey YOU!

Ya YOU!

Do you know what day it is???

It’s Friday !!!!

Wow this week sure flew by!

Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!

Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”

Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing! You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or abut if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly! link to Tootsie Time, or t
he linky will be deleted. So....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

The weather in Alberta this week has been wonderful!  We had one day that the temps. managed to get above freezing!!!  I tell ya…it was heavenly!

I carved one afternoon out to get a few things done in the greenhouse… and was as happy as a Tootsie gets!

You remember that last week I planted the Geraniums???  Well…

002

Here they are!!!   Yep!  Out of the 200 Geraniums of various colors…180 of them are up!  Isn’t it a cutie???

006

It feels so good to have my greenhouse filling up with the blooms of the future!

007

My “Busy” stopped in and “helped” a little after school…so if you see skinny arms in the photos…those are hers…:)  She is turning 8 on Valentines Day…so she is VERY helpful right now, as she REALLY wants a sleepover with her birthday party…ugh.  She gets it, but we won’t tell her yet okay? :)

009

I managed to fill a few more seed trays for future planting days…Oh I just can’t hardly wait to have every inch of this greenhouse loaded with seedlings!

010

I took a few of my tropicals into the main house for a couple of months, and gave away a few more…I still have a few to move, but will let these stay until the last possible moment…my house doesn’t have great light for plants…:(

019

I got some of the hanging pots ready for planting…and arranged them on the top shelf so they are handy!

018

This is just the beginning!!  I love when my greenhouse is working hard and looking alive and full!!!   Seeing the little green seedlings peeking up is such a thrill for me! This is when Tootsie smiles and exhales with relief  that her efforts are not wasted.

Well kids…that is all for me for this week…now it is your turn…What are you waiting for???

Get flaunting!

I wish all of you hugs and smiles, and safe and happy weekend plans!

Thank you all so much for dropping in today, and to those that faithfully link in to this party…and who are patient while waiting for me to FINALLY visit you…it seems there are not enough hours in a day anymore...THANK YOU!

Until Next Time... Happy Gardening!

So good to see things are going well in your greenhouse. I am absolutely astonished that you have planted 200 geraniums! Wow! It will be interesting to see what you do with 200 geraniums. I know your gardens always look lush and beautiful, that's for sure.

Things are certainly moving along nicely in your new greenhouse. It's great to hear you had a better week of weather too.

Hi Tootsie, beginning of another cycle? I think i've seen this arrangement already a few times! That just shows I've watched you work already for many years.

You're ahead of me. DH is going to fire up the greenhouse on Monday. The water should be up on Tuesday, when he'll spend the day testing the pressure and checking for leaks, so by the week-end I can go play. If everything is working I can go pick up the little spikes at a neighboring greenhouse.

I am envious of your greenhouse. 200 geraniums? That is a lot of plants! Thanks for visiting and I am a new follower.
