Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers March 20/13

Copy_of_001

WELCOME!

Do you know what day it is???

It’s Friday !!!!
Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol)It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!
Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like.

The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted.

So?????....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

HAPPY SPRING EVERYONE!!!

Mother Nature decided to throw a tantrum again this week, and Alberta got slammed with a nice big storm.   There isn’t much for sunshine when she is raging this way, and it is very frustrating to be a gardener this week.

002

I have Geraniums overwintering in the greenhouse that are happy just to be inside…they have been blooming all winter for me!

008

This guy is particularly happy this week…it has grown a LOT in the last few days!

010

My silver Swedish Ivy are happily growing…because it is so cloudy outside, they are all kind of leaning toward the window today…they are not usually pulling this way!  Even the plants are tired of Mother Nature’s tantrum!

016

The Lupin seeds are all up and even getting their second set of leaves already!

017

The Petunias are getting bigger every day!

021

I planted a couple of window boxes with Alyssum and Geranium in them.  They seem to be doing quite well!

022

My spider plantlets are getting bigger!!!

031

Most of the Marigolds are up and running…I need to re-seed a few, but that’s not a big deal…it is one of those things a gardener expects!

028

I am absolutely looking forward to the Dahlias blooming this year!  They never stop dazzling me with all the beautiful colors they have!

038

So far I only have one lone Banana plant…I sure hope more sprout…I had a plan!

034

I hope Mother Nature smartens herself up a little bit here very soon.  My greenhouse is not happy without the sun shining in for a few hours a day…

035

Well….this brings us to the end of my flaunt for this week…and YOU know what that means!!!
That means…I can’t wait to see what you have!

Well…what are you waiting for???

GO!!!

Get your flaunt on!!!

I wish all of you hugs and smiles, and safe and happy weekend plans!

Thank you all so much for dropping in today, and to those that faithfully link in to this party…and who are patient while waiting for me to FINALLY visit you…it seems there are not enough hours in a day anymore...THANK YOU!

Until Next Time... Happy Gardening!

Wow - so many seedlings! I agree with you about the weather - all the ups and downs has been very frustrating this year! Thanks for hosting!

I find this post really inspiring. I'm always promising myself that I'll grow trees from seeds and cuttings. Your post makes me feel like I really ought to get on with it. Thanks for that.

You've certainly got it all going on in your greenhouse at the moment. What a sight!

I would love to step inside your greenhouse and smell the moist dirt and see all the new seedlings! It does not look at all like spring in Vermont!

Quite a lot going on in that greenhouse, very impressive. I have to say I'm a bit jealous of your greenhouse, but I do hope to have a greenhouse of my own this year.

The only thing growing that I can see are the seedlings downstairs. We are covered with more snow again today. Two storms this week has given is another foot of snow and we are now over 18 feet for the winter...we need the weather to warm and shift soon or I may need some serious medication to lighten my mood.

Love your greenhouse so much farther ahead than me

I'm green with envy over your greenhouse flaunt, Glenda! My you've been busy!! I planted geraniums this week... a beautiful red one and a fuchsia one. Surrounded by allysum (hoping to attract those beautiful "flying" flowers). Thanks for sharing, have a great weekend!

Did you start your dahlia from seed? Everything looks amazing in that greenhouse of yours. What a happy place to grow!

every single little seedling in my greenhouse is started by seed! I have been doing Dahlia from seed for years....and would rather do it from seed than from the tubers!
