Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers March 29/13

Copy_of_001

WELCOME!

Do you know what day it is???

It’s Friday !!!!
Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol)It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!

Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like.

The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted.

So?????....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

HAPPY EASTER!!!!  Today is Good Friday…I’d like to ask everyone to take a minute to remember what this day is all about.

It warmed up…and the sun just smiled down on us all week!!! There are mud puddles galore…and I am LOVING it! Sadly, there is snow in the forecast for next week…but we will live in the moment…and enjoy spring…absolutely loving it!

005

I got lucky enough to find some time in the greenhosue this week.   I did up several hanging baskets for some of the people who ordered from me this year, and did a little of this and a little of that in there.  It was HOT in there…but I will not complain.   I love it!

004

My photos this week are less than wonderful, but I was in such a rush to get them taken before the camera fogged up that I didn’t change the setting from last week, and so we will have to just settle on these ones as it is now too dark to re-shoot the pics!  That white top of the photo is actually hanging pots!  lol

006

Things have certainly grown a lot since last week!

009

I used several trays of plants to do my hanging baskets up…I might even have time to re-seed a few things since some of the germination was LESS than desirable for a lot of the seeds I got this year.  I have NEVER had such bad luck…lets just say…I will be finding a new seed supply next year…this one has had the same issue a few years now…and I won’t be giving them another chance next time.
 012

I love how the sun makes everything seem so cheery!

018

There are a few things that need to be done in here…but that is what the long weekend is for!   I also won’t have kids in my house for two full weeks starting Monday, so between a few days in the greenhouse, and a few days spring cleaning inside the house, I should have lots to share!

021
025

I am so happy to share that I have not one…but TWO banana plants now…!!!!   This one is about two weeks old…

027

….This one is about 4 days!!!

020
There is even an empty spot just waiting for me to get in there tomorrow morning and fill it right up!!!

Good thing I have lots of Pro Mix soil to use!  It always does my pots the right way!   To see more from the sunshine family of potting soils, click the link in the sidebar or click the photos with the logos in them!
Well….this brings us to the end of my flaunt for this week…and YOU know what that means!!!

That means…I can’t wait to see what you have!

Well…what are you waiting for???

GO!!!

Get your flaunt on!!!

I wish all of you hugs and smiles, and safe and happy weekend plans!

Thank you all so much for dropping in today, and to those that faithfully link in to this party…and who are patient while waiting for me to FINALLY visit you…it seems there are not enough hours in a day anymore...THANK YOU!

Until Next Time... Happy Gardening!

*)*)*)  Disappointment comes from expecting things to be more than what they really are...

Everything is growing so wonderfully
in your greenhouse. I can't wait to
see how and where you will plant
all of your beautiful little plants.
Happy Spring and have a blessed

Thank you again for hosting! I just love looking at your pictures, I would love to come spend a day in your greenhouse breathing in the moist air. We still have snow so I'm reading about gardening and shared my book review!

I love to see the transformation of your greenhouse this time of year. Everything grows so rapidly all tucked in and safe from the snow.

We had horrid winds all last week so the gardens are a mess. At least we didn't lose a fence like the neighbors did! Next door has a Weeping Willow (they planted it so close to our fence) and boy does that thing make a mess. All the little and big "whips" that get blown drop and get blown all over the back yard. It's like having a layer of sticks over everything. I did manage to get some up but had a busy week and didn't get out there as much as planned.

So cool that you get orders for your baskets! They are gorgeous each year.

Enjoy your peaceful and quiet home for the next 2 wks. I know at times the silence will be deafening...at least I assume so...I'm never alone, just dream about having a week or month, maybe even a year! that way some day!! LOL

Happy Easter!
*hugs*deb

Exciting things are growing on in your greenhouse! Mine, too. I decided on a peek into the greenhouse to show the cycad seeds I hope to germinate, and where I found them.

I tried a new seed company this year also Glenda. Last years seeds were dismal to say the least. So far the new seeds are sprouting well. Have a lovely Easter weekend.
