Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers June 27/ 13

Copy_of_001
WELCOME!
Do you know what day it is???
It’s Friday !!!!
Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol)  It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!
Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!
If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:
If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like.

The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted.

So?????....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

I may be late to my own party...but it will be worth the wait...I promise!

The week has been INSANE...I have been on the go 16 hours a day since last Wednesday...and I can honestly say...I am pooped!

Have you ever wished you could add a little more time to each day?   Just a few hours would do it right?   I know that feeling ALL too well.   I still haven't managed to look at all of my mail, much less visit any of my favorite people online!   I am once again begging you to forgive my absence.  It is not intentional...I swear.

We had some severe weather here in Alberta Canada this past week.   A lot of rain fell and a lot of things are suffering.  I can't complain however, as I live in north central Alberta.   Many to the south of us had WAY too much rain fall in a very short period of time, and posessions, homes, and lives were lost to Mother Nature's rage.   My heart goes out to those folks who are affected by this natural disaster...

I have some hail damage...and some rain damage to my blooms, but I have no doubt things will be pretty and flauntable in no time flat!   Here is what I do have blooming that is in good shape:

My Pansy's seemed to love the cooler temps and all the rainy weather last week.

The Hydrangea was happy not to have the heat of the sun...Looks like she is going to bloom for me!!!  Yay!!!

I am excited to plant the hardy Wisteria that I found a couple of weeks ago!!!   I LOVE Wisteria...and hope desperately to be able to keep it alive...maybe one or two of you guys have a few tips for me????

Tiger Lillies are going to pop out some color any day now!!!

The Nine Bark is getting ready to flower!...

Yeee Haw!!!   The clematis I put in last spring is growing like a weed!!!   I suppose I best get my butt out there and put up a little support for it...It looks like a drunk leaning on the window box flowers!  ha ha!

Don't you just LOVE the way the blooms of an Ageratum look like tiny cheer leader pom poms???   What???   They do so!

I am enchanted by the leaves of the Silver Swedish Ivy.   They look SO soft!  They remind me of the tongue of a magical lion in one of my kid's movies...I am too tired to remember which one...sorry!  ha ha

Well...that's it for me this week...I need to finish up so I can get some rest...Tomorrow I have another crazy busy day on the calendar.  I hope I get a lot crossed off my list!

I will leave you with a shot of my Hosta...no pun intended....OKAY...pun intended...:)

That means…I can’t wait to see what you have!

Well…what are you waiting for???

GO!!!

Get your flaunt on!!!

I wish all of you hugs and smiles, and safe and happy weekend plans!

Thank you all so much for dropping in today, and to those that faithfully link in to this party…and who are patient while waiting for me to FINALLY visit you…it seems there are not enough hours in a day anymore...THANK YOU!  Again, I feel just terrible that I haven’t had time to get around to everyone lately…I miss seeing your shares!

Until Next Time... Happy Gardening!

Tootsie, Things are looking very colorful at your place. The hosta, ninebark, clematis and pansies are gorgeous! I've never grown wisteria although I'd love to. A strong support structure is a must - and that I do not have.
Blessings, Beth

Great plants and flowers and I especially like those pom poms...we have been hot, muggy and wet...lots of rain still here.

I have to come back for your postscript photos! Those are amazing colors, but that pompoms i've seen for the first time despite the plenty of blogposts i've been to. Amazing blooms. And that last leaves, oh so lovely. The first time i saw Wisteria in Sweden and 2nd in Turkey, i am really smitten by its climbing habits and prolific blooms, but i guess it is invasive in the tropics, so i just looked at them in posts from temperate climes.

Thanks so much for hosting! I wish I could add hours to every day because there never seems to be enough!!
We had over 2 inches of rain in 6 hours. But since we had been having temps. in the 90's, everything in the garden needed the rain....

Hugs,
Debbie

As always, your blog article is a treat to the eyes!

My link this week is not exactly about my plants, but it is a sour cherry crisp that I made with fruit from my garden. I hope that is acceptable!

Tootsie, I couldn't help but notice the Lupine beside your hydrangea, I hope you will post photos of it. I am trying them myself for the second time this year without much luck.
