Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers Feb. 28/14

          Welcome!!!

Copy_of_001
I am so glad you stopped by today.   I love Friday’s…it is the start of the weekend…and…Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me really…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!

Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”

Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like.

The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted

I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

Last week I mentioned that my greenhouse is up and running, and that I had to bring most of the tropical plants into the house to make space for the annuals.

Well…today I am going to show you just how happy those tropicals were in the greenhouse…

This is a spider plant that I started my first year of college.   It is HUGE…the girth of this baby is about 4 feet across.   I had to put her into a bigger pot…and sadly I can no longer hang it.   So…for now it will sit on the little folding chair that it is on…I need to make a new arrangement in my living room for all of the houseplants…this house does not offer a lot of light for plants, so they need to be close to the picture window.

There are so many plants in the window right now that you can’t even see some of them…lol

Here is another example of the huge growth spurt that my plants took over the last few months.  Yep…it’s huge too.   (I totally do not mind!)

This ponytail palm was 1/2 it’s size when I last shared it with you guys.   I am sure that there was some sort of magic growing powder snuck into the greenhouse …lol   If this keeps up…I won’t be able to lift them anymore…or keep them all.   (I need to make room for my family too ya know!)

The cats LOVE all the plants being in the house again.   They are playing jungle all the time!   I don’t enjoy that game as much as they do…they seem to always make a mess of something!  lol

Well…that’s all I have to share this week.   I have a million things still on my list for today, and the rest of the week is not much better!   I wish I could stretch time as easily as I can grow plants…OR that I could clone myself, and have one of me to just play on the computer all day…I’d be visiting every single one of you every day!…But…alas…there is one of me, and I do not have magic powers…so everyone will just need to be patient.   Real life comes first…online fun has to wait.

It’s your turn now…So GO….FLAUNT!

You know you wanna!

Until Next Time....Happy Gardening!

Hi!! Finally got a chance to join in. Crazy busy here too. WOW! Your spiders are huge! Gorgeous! I had a Ponytail Palm when we lived in Florida, but it was never THAT happy! Hope all is well with you. Take care and have fun playing in the dirt :)

Your spider plants look wonderful huge, while mine look sad and neglected. I take much better care of my outside plants. : )

Hello Glenda, glad to see you are still blogging. I'm trying to get back into it, am having to learn how to do it all over again. (Having problems with loading photos for one thing!)

All the best to you,
Diane
