WELCOME!
I am so glad you stopped by today. I love Friday’s…it is the start of the weekend…and…Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me really…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!
Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!
If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:
If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like.
The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!
You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!
All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted
I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...
I am sharing some of the photos I took of my yard just after I finished planting this week. I am so proud to say that I planted every last plant that I had this year! There isn't one flower left to go into the soil!!!
Keep in mind that these photos are a few days old, but it has been rainy and windy the past couple days, and no one wants to see a waterlogged looking flower bed! The ones from Tuesday will simply have to do!
Lets start in the front yard. Here is the view from the street.
I love how the window boxes take some of the ‘boring’ off of the house…and add a little color to the white siding.
They are certainly filling in nicely so far!
The flower bed below the front room window. The ninebark trees have now both succumbed to our harsh Alberta winters, so I had to take them out. I decided to place my bird bath in that spot for now, as I am not sure what I want to try to grow there next! The Iris plants seem to really enjoy it there.
The Bleeding Heart is up…and growing behind the bike, under the plant stand. I hope the petunias and Geraniums I put in this bed hurry up and fill in! I hate seeing the soil!!!
The piano area is looking full this spring already! I decided to put one of the banana plants in behind the piano this year. ( I needed the space in the greenhouse for my houseplants that are desperately waiting to get moved back out!) I hope the wind doesn’t torture it too much!
My little hedge that was planted in the spring of 2012 is doing very well…nice and thick and healthy!
The little hedge that I planted last year in the cinder blocks is also doing just fine…It is amazing how hardy those cotton easter plants are! I am loving the look of the Iris plants that are lining up along the side of the house! Every year they just get better and better!
This is the sidewalk to the back yard…so I am sure you know where we are going next!
Yep!!! The back yard!
Watch carefully, and see if you can figure out WHERE the renovation that we did to the back yard is at! Yep…the Cowboy helped me make some changes this spring!
The flower bed that I built last summer is filled with Geraniums and Marigolds. I sure hope it fills in…I am not sure I like the mass planting that I thought I would try this year. I also added a few tomato plants to this bed…yep…I said tomato!
The very first flower bed that was made in this yard is always the first one I plant. I love the shape, and how it looks when it is full of blooming flowers!
The rhubarb is already getting VERY big…I am glad I left a bunch of space for it.
Here’s the greenhouse!
I love this little space. It just makes me want to go and sit in that little chair. Unfortunately my ‘back end’ is just about too big for it. haha…I hope to wear off some of the ‘cushion’ this summer! (fingers crossed!)
Did you see the change that has taken place in the back yard yet? Keep looking!!! I am not going to reveal it to you today…but will share it in my next post! I will say that it was a fairly big renovation, but well worth the effort so far!
While you are thinking about what looks very different in my gardens, why not sit with me a spell…
…out by the garden shed. I will even let you take first pick of the chairs!
Well…that’s it for me…it’s your turn now…
So… GO….FLAUNT!
You know you wanna!
Until Next Time....Happy Gardening!
You guys have NO idea how much I appreciate you all…Thank you to the party linkers…and to those who just read.

Thank you for the sweet comment!
Your gardens look so pretty, as does your house with the window boxes....someday I will have me some of those! Your greenhouse and shed are darling. I wanna come sit in the little sitting area by the shed :)
I can't see anything different in your backyard except for the hanging plants on the fence. But I don't think hanging plants is called a renovation! LOL Anxious to see it. Hope thing are going better for you. I'm in the midst of changing my mindset and trying to just let things go.......even if I'm not getting the correct amount of support. I'm done.....time to move on and find a new normal...yeh, the kids and I normal, hey, we can try ;)
love ya girl! xoxoxxo

I've been really wanting to make my shed look really special and wishing we could put windows in it, which we can't. What a great idea you have of putting up those little frames to make the look of a window. I'm really impressed with that. Very ingenious. ;)
Have a great day,
Diane
Thanks for the party!!
Hugs,
Debbie
I look forward to seeing all the surprises you are holding back.
