Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers July 11/14

Copy_of_001
WELCOME!

I am so glad you stopped by today.   I love Friday’s…it is the start of the weekend…and…Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me really…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!

Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”

Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like.

The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted

I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

BOY IS MY FACE RED!

I totally forgot to publish my Friday post last week…and here I am feeling like a goof!  So…I will save those photos for another week, and show you what I have today.

We have had some nasty storms here this summer…LOTS of rain…and last night was no exception.  However, last night, there was a little bit of wind…

…and one of the beloved old trees at Grammie and Grampie’s house hit the street.   Yes…we were called to help cut up and remove this HUGE 100+ year old tree in the middle of a thunderstorm.   It was blocking the entire street and it had to be moved right away.
BeFunky_012.jpg
Poor Grampie…he looked so disappointed that the tree had fallen.  It was hollow at the base, and just fell down!

One of us, seemed to think it was quite the adventure…she got to be outside in the rain…and that is just TOO much fun!
Because of that storm, my yard is looking like it is in hiding.

I take all the hanging pots down in big storms…so they are at least a little protected from the wind, and hail, and whatever else Mother Nature throws at us.

Looks different with nothing hanging around!  lol
I have some exciting blooms coming into my garden this week…
BeFunky_061.jpg
I planted a few climbing rose bushes this year…and they are getting ready to bloom!!!   Yay!   Here is the bud of one…it is so pretty!
BeFunky_073.jpg
There are lots of pretty blues popping open too!
BeFunky_075.jpg
I love these little guys!   They are very small…but make a sweet little statement.  Brachycomb is their name.
BeFunky_108.jpg
These lime petunias are awful cheerful in the basket with the blue ones…this mixture is called blueberry jam!   I like it!
BeFunky_078.jpg
I love the intricacy of Dahlia blooms!
BeFunky_037.jpg
Last but not least…My 9 year old took this close up of the tiger lilly in the front yard…how pretty is this?

And…that is it for me this week.   That means it’s your turn again!

So?

What are you waiting for???

Flaunt!

Flaunt like you have never Flaunted before!

I can’t wait to see!

Until Next Time…Happy Gardening!

Such a treat to see your flowers and your yard. Always a bit sad when a tree falls down. My large heritage lilac tree fell over two weeks ago. I still have to go and cut it into pieces and clean everything up. Some shoots are coming up around it so I will leave them alonge. Thanks for Fertilizer Friday Flaunt Your Flowers.

Always a treat to visit Tootsie Time. I haven't been receiving emails notifying me of new posts though.
